Extended stay for 3 months. Only available location in area. They wanted all kinds of paperwork to register, including vehicle leinholder info. Most expensive campground we have ever been to, plus had to pay almost double local electric company rates. 5 sites in a row were shared. We were in the center. People had to drive through our site to get to theirs. We had to drive through other site to get to ours. Not maintained at all. Used 2 gallons of roundup and 1 gallon of insecticide and bought a... People had to drive through our site to get to theirs. We had to drive through other site to get to ours. Not maintained at all. Used 2 gallons of roundup and 1 gallon of insecticide and bought a handheld Weed whacker. Weeds at sites around ours were above picnic tables. Were told we can't have a flower pot at site and had to dig a hole and plant the flower or get rid of it. Laundry room absolutely filthy. Only 1 washer and 1 dryer working. It took them over a month just to put up out of order signs after at least 3 people told them of the problems. Amenities rarely open and when they are most have to be paid cash to use. They won't allow you to get any packages or mail and claim it is because of the county. Restroom had new sinks and urinals but the rest old and dilapidated. Half of the toilets and tiny showers out of order. We went 5 days over 3 months. Our going away gift was to switch us over to a daily rate that made it cost almost 400 for the last few days. It may seem crazy, but there were many more downsides to our stay. The only 2 things my wife and I agree on that were positive is that they had decent walking trails and that Lorraine is nice.

We stayed at one of three new "Deluxe Cabins" Pictures on line and description depicted a table inside in addition to queen bed and twin bunk beds. Arrived and found no table inside. Found out the only deluxe cabin with a table was one without bathroom. Very disappointed. Front porch was great. Lots of room to sit and enjoy. Bathroom was good. Queen bed was also good. There was a ant infestation. Saw couple occasionally. When placing food on the kitchen counter. Hour later food was covered by... Read More

Got " someone hit a line couple weeks ago and we're still trying to figure out where to fix it" Overall was nice stay. Campground is nice. Has interesting quirks. Cabin was disappointing considering $$$

I'm usually a pretty generous reviewer and try to see the best in people and their companies, but this campground gave me zero reasons for giving it anything above 1 star. I had planned this 4 day stay and was excited that my relatives from out of state would be joining us. We all had children 5 and under so after looking at the website which features many fun kid activities, we felt this would be the perfect choice for our dual family stay. Unfortunately, it was the worst choice. Upon arriving... Read More

I had planned this 4 day stay and was excited that my relatives from out of state would be joining us. We all had children 5 and under so after looking at the website which features many fun kid activities, we felt this would be the perfect choice for our dual family stay. Unfortunately, it was the worst choice. Upon arriving we were greeted by friendly staff. We even received a list of activities that included a bouncy pad, splash pad, pool, tractor ride, crafts, go-cart/peddle carts, mini golf, and much more. We jumped right in and headed to our first activity, the pool. So we loaded up our coolers and children and upon entering we're quickly greeted in a rude manner. We were told we could not bring ANY drinks or food in and ALL flotation devices including our children's floaties were NOT allowed. Ok, so it's 95 degrees out and we can't have drinks? Of course you can, but only if you purchased them from their limited options and high priced snack bar. To top it off, upon getting in the pool with my child 2 feet away from me, the lifeguard makes the comment to me that I must stay within 4 feet of him at all times. Umm? You really think I'd leave my 4 yr old in a pool unattended? Okay- so yes the pool situation was really aggravating, but we moved on and continued enjoying our time at the pool (while thirsty). That I could have overlooked, but the clincher was that all those fun activities shown did not go on at ALL! We went to go to the bouncy pad and was told it was only open from 7p-9p. Seriously? Our kids go to bed then! Actually all those fun activities- non operating. We were told "sorry, there isn't enough staff and that the only people who operates the bounce pad, go carts, mini golf, and crafts are the 2 owners which were already occupied lifeguarding the pool. So I spent $170 for nothing!! All those great "activities" we were looking forward to we never got to partake in. It's quite sad because it really does appear as the campground was once a fun place, but now it's been let go. It was a ghost town with barely anyone there all weekend. Now I understand why and I will be sure to never go back again.

Close to I-83 which is very convenient. Very nice place, this is our second year staying here. Pull through sites are nice and big overlooking the valley. Have not had any trouble as described in other reviews.

This campground is the most greedy, insensitive people I have ever dealt with. Last year (2017), they would not allow my 3 and 5-year-olds to wear any sort of floatation device around the pool area. They told me that their reasoning behind this policy is that parents who like to ensure the safety of their children are just expecting the devices to act as a babysitter. - NOT - Some of us responsible parents think of it as a second proof of protection. I recently (May 2018) had a second very insensitive... Read More

I recently (May 2018) had a second very insensitive ordeal and have decided that I will never come back to this campground. It's so very unfortunate. I feel very sorry for the owners who are willing to lose not just one long-time frequent customer, but they will also lose a lifetime of my extended family's business. We will take our business elsewhere. Would really like to see this under new ownership, has great potential.

We stayed at Merry Meadows this past weekend. We picked this campground because it is the closest to our home for a weekend getaway and I had stayed there years ago when it was Morris Meadows. The bad experience started upon registration. The staff was very rude. Right away they started pushing rules at us. It quickly became obvious that even the rules have rules. Our site was nice gravel and level. The 50a electric pedestal was so low I had to clear rocks so that the cord could be plugged... Read More

Our site was nice gravel and level. The 50a electric pedestal was so low I had to clear rocks so that the cord could be plugged in. On Saturday morning we walked thru the campgrounds. The swimming pool was Green. No where did we see anything that stated it was closed. By the color I am assuming it was not open on Labor Day weekend. Another camper we talked said his site was covered in Poison Ivy and another with Poison Sumac. I later looked at their Facebook page reviews. WOW! It seems the issues we had are the norm. Rude Staff. I have never seen so many bad reviews of a campground. Another thing to be careful about there is they will NOT honor any discounts including Good Sam if you do not pay in Cash. Their published rates are for cash only. The registration lady told me "they don't want to pay the 3% bank fee for credit cards". Campers also need to be prepared with Cash for the added deposits required for the Gate Card. Each vehicle (including towed vehicles) MUST receive a gate entry card that requires a $10 deposit each. If you depart before or after the office is closed and leave your gate card in the drop box, a penalty will be assessed to your deposit if they have to mail your deposit to you. Campers Beware! This is the most unfriendly & highly regulated Good Sam location we have ever stayed in. We will Never be staying there again.

Quiet, heavily wooded & on side of hill. Roads extremely narrow with few pull thru sites. Difficult to use facilities unless you drive. Rv sites close to one another. Difficult to walk pets up & down steep hills. Lost power due to storm & had difficulty notifying staff after working hours. Clean park

Should never be a 9. Stayed on premium site. Very long but very narrow. Maybe 10 to 12 feet between slide outs of neighbor. Sites are terraced and not very level. Could not level my coach without lifting wheels off the ground. Only enough level space to get 2 maybe 3 chairs under awning. Activities for kids are rip off. They don't post on Web that it is $20 per day per kid and that only gets them 1 hour of play time between 5 and 7 pm. Exception is pool and playground. 2hours of WiFi... Read More

Plus many other rules you don't normally find at other parks. i.e. Sat dishes must be mounted on RV. Very disappointed. This park should not be rated above a 7 at vertical best.

Since we camped after Labor Day, we did not have use of some activities such as the pool. We did enjoy our stay very much and look forward to going back during the summer months with all activities are running. I absolutely loved the craft and the weekend events that were able to be held. The pull through site was perfect for our camper and the grounds were beautiful to walk around. Everyone was very friendly.
