Don’t underestimate the topic of brown water here. The facility has sewer hook ups at over 20 sites, don’t expect to be assigned one. The office staff always says there are none available. Labor Day weekend, three campers got the sewer connection site. The showers. Warm then cold, repeat. It is a miserable shower even if you are the only one using a shower stall. The location on the island is good. They list an ice cream social. Labor Day weekend, nope. It may be a secret because that information... Read More

We will book a different campground on the island in the future. Why am I not checking out and going someplace else? They offer no refunds.

The road signage needs to be clearer. When coming from Bar Harbor the campground is too easy to pass. The bathrooms need updating. There are signs warning how hot the water gets, yet the faucets are separate for hot and cold, you cannot control the flow, mix them to temper the heat or leave it on long enough to rinse your hands. The counters are not angled so that they are constantly wet. If you get too close when washing, your clothes get soaked. The spider webs were out of control and the shower... Read More

On the positive side, the views of the bay were spectacular and the office staff was friendly and helpful. The grounds crew could be seen daily keeping up the sites.

Overall, the park is beautiful, clean and has everything you need. The check-in process was extremely smooth and the site are well equipped. One important issue that, in my opinion, must be addressed is the enforcement of the speed limit. We had our grand children with us and we were very nervous riding our bicycles around the campground. The majority of campers did not follow the speed limit. I hope the owners install speed bumps or do something to correct this.

RUNNERS. We ran around the outer perimeter of the campground. One loop is a mile with the entire run either up or down hill. The road outside has small shoulders and a fair amount of traffic. There are lots of great runs in Arcadia Park. The upper campground is moderately packed, with few trees, and doesn't have a good view of the ocean. The lower campground is better, especially along the water. Sites are long and roads wide. The staff, K and K, were very helpful. We only stayed the night... Read More

Stayed there for ten days. Overall it was "ok". The roads need maintenance (gravel), pool was in need of repair (even though it was closed major repair work needed to be done), a lot of the sites were hilly, WiFi was terrible - kept loosing it but you could pay an additional charge for a better signal, an additional charge per day ($4) for stays under 30 days, high site fees (in season $82 off season $50). The "resort" name should be removed from their title. We visited two other campgrounds in... Read More

Dessert was a last resort.
