Overall it is a nice campground. We have been coming here since the 2016 season. Since last season they put in a new pool. The new pool is not heated and is VERY cold even on a hot day. This may be good for those that like swimming in the freezing cold or for polar bears but if you have kids, they will start shivering. Had an issue in the past where they gave my campground away to another camper. I wanted to relax at my camper and watch my kids at the park. Some of the sites are a little... Read More

This is pretty much the norm but worth mentioning. Shop has a minimum on credit cards so that can be annoying and you can't run an account. Lovely park. If only the pool was warm and they always gave you the site you reserved then it would be 5 star.

First bad review I've ever written. Sites were very close together. Picnic tables were VERY close to adjacent site's sewer hose. The whole area around us felt squeezed in. Although the whole row was pull-thrus, cars needed to back out of the row because it was a dead end. When I called to make my reservation, I stated that I had a 36 foot motor home, towing, and needed a pull thru site. We weren't planning to disconnect. When we arrived, it was obvious that we would not fit in the site with our... Read More

When we arrived, it was obvious that we would not fit in the site with our tow, so I questioned at the desk if it would actually accommodate us. I was told "that's all we have, we're booked solid." The person was not sympathetic or apologetic at all, stating that we would just need to disconnect and park in front of the office. That defeated the whole purpose of a pull-thru at the end of 6 hours on the road. Laundry room was insufficient and one dryer out of order. With the number of campgrounds in the area, I would not stay here again.

We used this park for a 2 night stay. Our site was right next to the pool which gave a little more foot traffic, although overall it was quiet. The site was level & easy to setup. We had a back in site which was a little tight, although we could park our car at the site. Everyone was very friendly, we used the pool, although NOT the shower facilities. We went to Michigan City park area which was nice, and drove into Chicago. The traffic going in was harendous although not so bad coming back home.... Read More

A security gate to allow entry is great. The staff were very friendly. Pull through sites share long concrete patio, each having a table. Sites are side by side with enough room for slides. We will stay here again.

This is the second year we have stayed at the Michigan City Campground. It is our last stop before home further north in Michigan. We dump our tanks and winterize our trailer here. It is a easy stop for these chores. The campground is not too far off the main roads, fairly level sites and always has openings in early April. Lots of campgrounds in MI are still closed!. Used the restrooms a couple of times, they were decent, not fancy but serviceable. In the summer the location of the restrooms... Read More

Used the restrooms a couple of times, they were decent, not fancy but serviceable. In the summer the location of the restrooms is probably great, very near the outdoor pool. There are several trailers that look like they are used for summer cottages, large grills, decks and such. The "permanent" trailers are in good condition, not run down.
