While the campground at Wallowa Lake State Park is quite large, it doesn't feel that way - you truly feel like you're surrounded by nothing but nature. Campsites are paved and level, and many feature full hookups (Water, Electric, Sewer). The campground is well laid out and easy to navigate. The hosts are some of the nicest we've ever encountered. Love this park, but there are a couple negatives. We love kids but there is no supervision of the kids. We had to stop several times from office to camp site to wait for kids to move and the ones on toys-bikes were the worst. They did not watch where they were going and when we stopped to back into site we had to move kids out of way, same when we were leaving. At times there were as many as 20+ kids on road. It just isn't safe. Sites are very narrow and no room to park vehicle.
