We stayed at this campground while visiting Montgomery. Everything about this park was great. The office staff were friendly and the campsites were spacious with full hookups. We stayed at this campground while visiting Montgomery. Everything about this park was great. The office staff were friendly and the campsites were spacious with full hookups. Although it did not bother us, I will say that the highway runs along the edge of this campground so if you are sensitive to highway noise, that may be a factor for you. We were there in April and the temps were cool so we didn't mind not having any shade trees. I don't know if this would be a factor during the hot summer months. With Good Sam discount, we paid about $46 per night.

Can't thank them enough for their warm hospitality and lovely facilities. My family came off of a hard road trip, exhausted and soul weary, these folks went above and beyond to make us comfortable and it felt like home. Amazing people and truly lovely place to stay.

Easy to get in and out of, reasonably level site, Staff very friendly and accommodating and campground was very clean and no fires (hurray) and no trees! Love this campground and will definitely stay here again even tho we were only here for one night.

This RV park is an excellent choice for anyone coming through town, especially for just a stop through on the way somewhere else. All pull-thrus so you can stay hitched, the two bathrooms and laundry are really large nice rooms, and the couple that own the place are absolutely delightful. It's right off Hwy 65 ( visible from the hwy) well outside Montgomery City limits in the middle of nowhere, but loved the easy access.

Called on our way to Florida to see if they had an available spot for the night I was called back shortly after getting voicemail. The lady who called me back said they would have a spot waiting for us. The man who greeted us as soon as we pulled into the park was very nice along with the lady who checked us in. After leaving the next morning the same gentleman asked if we had a good nights sleep and if there was anything they could do for us. We will most definitely stop there again....

We booked this as a stop over half way between the beach and home. The place we usually stay was closed. I am always a little apprehensive trying some place new but this place was AWESOME! Neat and clean and I can't say enough about how nice the staff is! The site we were escorted to was nice and level with picnic table and fire pit. The office has some RV parts for sale and don't forget the ice cream cooler! The campground is super convenient for just passing through as it is close to I-65... Read More

The campground is super convenient for just passing through as it is close to I-65 and there are lots of gas stations (with diesel) at this exit so you can fill up before moving on. It was a fun crowd and we met our neighbors. All of us just passing through either to/from the beach. Bathroom/showers are immaculate! And don't forget to visit the Alabama Safari Park down the street. It's a drive through zoo where the animals walk right up to your car. We will definitely be stopping here again!

Everything is clean and well cared for. The owners are friendly and helpful. It is easy to find and park. There is a little road noise but no biggie. It didn't keep me awake. There is an animal park just right down the road. It's a lot of fun. I'll be back to stay there again.

We stay here on our way to Pensecola. It's a great stop over place coming from Tennessee. The staff is very friendly. It is easy to get to and there is a Loves and a Flying J at the exit. We plan on continuing to stay here as long as we are headed to the beach. It's only 2 and a half hours from Pensecola beach. It is close to the intestate but the noise didn't bother us.

Great staff and a very nice campground on a country road, next to a crystal clear babbling brook. It's peaceful and relatively quiet considering you're not too far off from an interstate. I stay there for a few days at least twice each year. No cable, but antenna picks up a lot of channels.

Montgomery South RV Park provided a very nice stay for us. Sites were easily accessible and the park was very clean. We only needed an overnight stay, and this RV Park was perfect for our needs. Although the public road to the park could use a little maintenance, the location to the interstate is convenient. There are several truck plazas at the interstate exit, which proved to be beneficial. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We plan to stay here again as we travel back and forth... Read More

Very clean and well-maintained campground. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. We stay here twice a year on our way to Florida. See you again in the fall!

Our second stay here. First on way to FL and this time on way home. Very clean park with level gravel sites. Owners are exceptionally nice. Will stay here anytime we pass thru or stay in the area.

Easy in and out that is right off the interstate. Restrooms were very clean. The people here are very friendly and super accommodating.

We were heading south and looking for a good place to stay. Nice rural setting and easily accessed right off the highway. The couple that manage the park couldn't have been more friendly, the park was clearly well cared for, a very safe environment and well-managed. Will definitely make this a stopping point next year.

We stopped at Montgomery South after a long day traveling for an overnight stay. We arrived after hours. All of our check in information was taped to the door. Easy to find pull thru site. Level enough we didn't have to remove our towed vehicle or level. It is located just off I-65. On the same exit are gas stations large enough to accommodate RV's in addition to a couple of places to eat. Great overnight stop! Owners were great too!

Such nice, friendly people! Large, level pull through sites. The bathrooms were great, especially for families. We stayed one night going from MI to Gulf Shores and made a point of stopping again on our way home. Definitely would recommend and will stay again.

That lady was friendly and helpful so we figured we go there. But as i was on the phone with the 4th place i got a call from the 3rd # I called & never got thru to. She actually took the time to call me back to make sure to tell me she was on the phone and sorry she missed my call but if I needed anything to call her back. She was so sweet & thoughtful that I did call her back & she said that yes by the time I'd get there they'd be closed but made sure she'd hold a spot & even tapped a map & info they would give you at checkin to the front door! I loved this place it was easy to get to, quiet & so clean! I went to the office the next morning to settle up & they were so nice & helpful & even had instructions typed up & printed out to give to people traveling south to help get there easier! The one night I was there they made me feel more welcome then some places I've stayed at for a week. I just can't say enough!! Thanks so much guys!! If we ever travel thru here again we are definitely staying with you!!

I should name this Planes, Trains and Automobiles. While this park is well cared for and run by very nice people, it sounds when advertised like it is 1 1/2 miles off the interstate. Well it is in a way, but once you wind yourself down the 1 1/2 miles you end up on the edge of the highway (sitting slightly above it). The park is gravel roads and sites. Had problem keeping RV level but redoing the level each day helped. The park is made up of a lot of full time residents. While there a couple was... Read More

Well it is in a way, but once you wind yourself down the 1 1/2 miles you end up on the edge of the highway (sitting slightly above it). The park is gravel roads and sites. Had problem keeping RV level but redoing the level each day helped. The park is made up of a lot of full time residents. While there a couple was living in a boat and when she washed her clothes she hung them out to dry on a make shift line on the boat. I thought well the sun and wind will dry them fast. They left and that night the clothes were still hanging out. I think management should not allow any type of clothes lines when they have dryers in the laundry room. Your sleep will be interrupted when planes are routed in a flight pattern overhead plus the noise from the highway which includes many 18 wheeler trucks. Add to that the trains that are across the highway (but you can't see them before parking since bushes hide the train tracks) blow their horns with each passing. With my Good Sam discount I still paid $43.99 per night. I feel it is pretty high for a site that is nowhere around shopping, grocery stores, restaurants and all the noise at night. Again, clean park and very nice management/owners. Just inconvenient and loud at night with Planes, Trains and Automobiles!

Great overnight stop, easy in easy out and only a couple of miles from I65. Great Folks own and run this park are friendly and helpful. We unfortunately lost our small dog the morning we were leaving. The staff helped us search and they were the ones who found him.

Very nice for an overnight stop. Level pull throughs. Very neat. Would give it 5 stars except for the noise from the interstate. It is located on I-65! Tolerable, though, with RV windows closed. Will stay here again.

These folks are the nicest people. We stayed one night on our way to NOLA. The granddaughters were helping us and even though they are young they know their stuff. Our lot was a large end lot and the park is very clean and tidy. The Halloween decorations were darling. I too thought there would be highway noise but that was not the case it was quiet all night. I couldn't rate restroom since we didn't use the facilities. Great place to stay. Thanks for your hospitality folks.

Stayed here for one night on way to Gulf coast. Called a week ahead to reserve spot. Nicest lady on the phone took my name and said I could pay when we arrive. They made sure we had everything we needed and showed us where things were. We didn't use the facilities there, so I can't rate them. Easy access from the interstate, the road leading to the campground is bumpy but not bad. We expected lots of road noise from the interstate, but were pleasantly surprised that it wasn't bad at all. They recommended the Denny's for dinner, which we went to. Food & service was good. We would definitely stay there again if we are through that area.

Small Park, only 50 spaces, but a good place to stop for the night. Just off I65, close to a FLYING J Station for Fuel and Denny's Restaurant. Staff live on site and are extremely friendly. We tried getting a reservation on the way back from Georgia, but due to the Hurricane IRMA evacuation they were full up. Good RV Park. Highly recommend it!

This is a nice stopping place with easy on and off. We found it to be quiet, safe, clean, and enjoyable. There is a paved road right by the park which is great for a nice walk. We did not use laundry or restrooms. Some of the spaces are a little tight though. We have a 39 foot fifth wheel and the spot we were in (space #2) has a permanent satellite dish beside it which makes it too close to pull through, you can't make the turn, so we had to back out. We would stay here again.

Montgomery South RV Park worked out perfect for our one night stay on our road trip through the state. The owner and staff members were friendly and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. We loved the private bathrooms. They were clean and very nice. Should we pass through Alabama again, we would definitely stay here again.

The owner was super friendly and helpful. Always a nice way to start a stay. Camp ground is right off of Hwy 65 so easy access, and a good stop over while heading North or South. Also, makes for a fair amount of road noise, with the heat all our windows were closed so couldn't really hear it inside. Easy drive in but your GPS will stop you just a little short of the entrance, at the neighbors driveway, so make sure you look for the RV's and cabins before turning in. Easy drive in but your GPS will stop you just a little short of the entrance, at the neighbors driveway, so make sure you look for the RV's and cabins before turning in. There are about 30 sites, some are permanent residents, but they are all well maintained. There are also cabins to rent. Sites are about average width and long enough for our 37-foot RV and tow-dolly. All sites are gravel with a cement patio, a picnic table and fire ring. Water pressure was great, in fact it is so strong you really need a regulator for your hose. The water is very soft, so go light on the soap and shampoo! Wi-Fi was good, our Verizon phone strength was good, and there is not a tree in sight so if you use a satellite you should have no problem. Laundry room and bathrooms were very clean. On one side of the camp is a large field that worked out great for walking the dog, if your dog is good off leash it is the perfect place for a game of fetch. They are a Passport America park, but we got the weekly rate of $150. We stayed June 27 - July 4, 2016. They are about 20 minutes from downtown Montgomery and all of it's activities.

This park is located just off I-65, 8-10 miles south of Montgomery. It is a lovely setting near some nice farms with cows, goats and horses. The driveways and RV sites are gravel with some grass areas in between. There are full hookups and decent WiFi included. The bathrooms are OK but should be cleaned more carefully and more frequently. The lady who checked us in was very nice and provided helpful information about visiting Montgomery. We paid a Passport America rate of $26 per night.
