Ok, so let's be honest, when we have information we can make an informed decision. I prefer to leave detailed, fair reviews, so that folks can choose wisely. Let's hit up the "goods" first. ?? This is the cleanest campground I've seen in a long while. From the front entrance that is wide & accommodating to the grass areas, buildings & everywhere in between. The store was stock full of kayaks & also had a good supply of snacks & things & the young couple working the counter were super friendly. Super thanks to the several folks keeping it all going. The sites are predominantly spacious. There are a few pull throughs that aren't super wide, but most all of the back in spaces are large & comfortable, even with slides out. The 50 amp service was strong & constant with no issues, water pressure was great & septic on site was a huge plus. We also enjoyed that each site was physically separated by posts & rope or RR ties. Additionally Cave Spring & Rome are both great towns that are close by. I wouldn't call this a "bad" or even not so good, but it is important to know. There are quite a few sites occupied by long term folks, some are working in the area, some work at the campground etc. It is what it is, but at least for me, I would like to have known that beforehand. I know I spoke with a few guests coming through that, like me didn't know, & some of them were much less willing to overlook that. That said, I have to admit that even the long term sites are clean for the most part & the folks seem to be very much like family. Overall I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again or to recommend it. It's obvious the new owners care & are putting money into making it a great RV spot. Go give them a visit!

I absolutely recommend this campground to anyone planning to stay in the area. The campground itself was clean, quiet and easy to navigate with our 34ft RV. But what was even better than all of that was the staff. They went way above and beyond to help us out 3 times simply by caring enough to help solve a few problems we ran into during our stay (the issues we had were our own fault and in no way caused by the campground). We'll definitely be back!!

We needed a place to stay on our way to Asheville and this was a halfway point. The campground was easy to get in and out of, very spacious and easy to get your rig in and out of a spot. Sites are gravel and pretty level. Hookups worked well. It was friendly enough at the reception area. Not too many amenities. I didn't use the bathrooms or laundry here, so can't comment. They are situated on a creek and do offer tube and kayak rentals right there. It was hot out so the creek was nice. We booked a mountain view site and if you stood way way back there were mountains back there, but when you stand in the site the trees block your view. You are much better off getting a creekfront site so you can have water access out your back door and shade. There was no shade on the mountain view side or the pull throughs in the middle. And it was hot when we went. The little town of Cave Spring is right up the road and very charming and worth a visit. Real America. That's why we're out here.
