Only 2 nights into a month+ stay at this very rough mobile home park near the airport. I am full-time currently, travel for work out of town each week (without my trailer - usually by air), and am solo so I was looking for a step above boondocking to save money. I appreciate the $400/mo+ utilities rate for sure, but this is not a good place for families as there is a lot of abandoned and dangerous stuff around. My site has a lot of little pieces of broken glass from the previous trailer that burned down and I ran over the sharp top of a buried fence post right where you would normally back in. There is also a boarded-up and uninhabitable double-wide directly across from my site. The manager is very nice but appears to be gone on the weekend, the people here seem to be safe, and it has been quiet Friday and Saturday night. The clubhouse has been locked up and there is no sign of the pickleball or tennis courts "coming soon". I've stayed at some rough places, and may learn to like it here as I am solo, wanted to be close to the airport, and am only home on weekends, but THIS SHOULD NOT BE A GOOD SAM PARK and I felt I needed to get the word out to prevent misunderstandings. This is maybe a good compromise between storage and boondocking, and I am hopeful it will encourage me to take the trailer out and go explore on the weekends, although I think $200/month would be a more reasonable rate for the value.
