Beautiful quiet beach with slow rolling waves. Relaxing time watching the big ships roll by. The staff is very nice and helpful. The campgrounds are very well maintained. It can get a little windy so be careful with any awnings and maybe bring a wind break and a kite for the beach or play area. We had our two large dogs but always kept them on a leash unless there was nobody around on the river and then we let them romp at the far end of the beach. The other campers with dogs were also respectful of the leash requirements. They provide life vests but there are no lifeguards. The reservation online worked great too.
