Traveling in a 38 foot coach we stayed 3 nights in a site for big rigs. The only reason we stayed here is because there are no other RV parks in, or around Salem. Plus, we wanted the water-front view. The site we had was the best in the park, if you want a view of the harbor. The site we stayed in was next to the dock (southeast end of park). If you are looking for a quiet place where you can sit outside and relax... look somewhere else because this is a busy marina with people walking around day... Read More

There are no sewer hook-ups here. When you check-in they will provide you with one free pass and a map to the county sewer department (one mile away) where you can dump. Note of warning: If you have a large coach (like us) and the county sewer department still has construction going on, don't attempt to go here. At the county sewer department there's a long road back to where the dump station is and as you reach the end of the road, there is `no place' to turn a big coach around. Plus, the dump would be on the wrong side of your unit. We had to back our coach all the way out, find a place to turn around, then drive backwards all the way back to the dump site. If you have a tall coach you will smash your roof and side-walls because of the trees on the property. You have been warned! What a nightmare!

Although the park is lovely, set on the water, the facilities have not been updated in the last few decades. The restroom/shower facility is used by everyone that comes into the park for the beach. And that can be hundreds of people each day. There are two toilets and two showers, hardly enough for all the RV and tent campers. I had ask to move to the site next to us and was told it wasn't available. It has set empty for 6 days. When I inquired again I was told the site was closed. Two days later... Read More
