We had a FHU 50 amp back-in site. It was not very level. Before arrival they sent us a text message saying we should go directly to our site, and check in once we were set up. The signage for sites is very poor, so we had to circle around to find our site. Maybe they don't want to take time to explain how to find your site, so they send the text message. As poor as the signage is, they need someone to escort you to your site. We saw many RVs circling to find their site while we were there. The site next to us was a pull-thru so our doors were opposite each other. Very little space between sites. If we sat outside, we were practically under the neighbors awning. The entry road and main roads are gravel and full of potholes. We understand this park is under new ownership and has raised the prices this year, but not made any improvements. Sites are gravel with dead grass and weeds. We were here a month and the weeds were getting very long without being trimmed. We did have a picnic table, but it was too nasty to sit at with pealing paint. The front section has many permanent, dilapidated trailers. They have rules, but seem to enforce them willy-nilly. On the weekends, the place was pretty full. Quiet time is supposed to be 10 pm, but there were young people making lots of noise at the playground until midnight. There is a scenic steam train ride available at the front of the park which runs several times a day with a very loud whistle. Rules regarding dogs on leash were also not enforced. They charge extra per night to park a boat or extra vehicle in the overflow parking lot, and also charge nightly for a fire ring. Enforcement of boat parking rules seemed random. There is a lot of potential for this to be a very nice park, but they need to improve their game a great deal. There is a nice little rocky beach area and the crabbing pier is nearby. Wi-Fi was decent during the week, but pretty useless on weekends. We would never stay here again!!

I have no Idea how this gets rated as a Good Sam Park . The staff is friendly enough but the park is pretty rough. Pull throughs are hard to navigate, roads are in really bad shape, there is no cable TV and the town had seen better days.

The road into the park was rough and full of many pot holes but had lots of drive space. We stayed in space 415 the only camp that had a view of the bay which was only 100 feet from the site. There were 3 trees not very tall. Two on the left and one on the right of our space. The site was gravel based and only big enough for our truck with a camper to back in. The site had full hook ups, 50AMP, 30AMP, 110VAC and a sewer. The park has many tent and RV sites of which becaues of the time of year most sites were empty. There are many full time residents living in spaces 100, 200. They had a pre-paid wireless WYFI service that cost us $12 for 7 days of service. The bandwidth was some what low some of the time and good other times. We camped at Old Mill RV Park & Event Center in a Truck Camper.

ended up staying for more than a week due to tow vehicle break down. the park was very accommodating as we kept having to extend days waiting for truck to be fixed. very friendly staff. park is clean and quiet with a combination of paved and gravel roads and mostly gravel sites some with patios and most with nice grassy areas separating sites. most sites are well spaced (much better than the other parks here that are packed in like sardines) and level. utilities worked well though WiFi was a little slow but usable. no cable but several channels on antenna except when a storm rolled in then the TV went out. a few permanent or long term users but all were clean and friendly. the one complaint is the numerous potholes on the main drive in. i would stay here again. for a good and reasonably priced seafood dinner try Fish Peddler at Pacific Oyster in Bay City 4 miles south.
