This is a beautiful location. The sites were large with gravel pads. Our site required leveling, but other sites looked more level. The park was pretty busy during the weekend, with lots of kids. It got much quieter Sunday evening. Interior roads are gravel and were wide enough. We would have had difficulty making the turn out of our site (more than 90 degree turn) but were able to drive through the site across from us. The bathhouse and laundry were adequate. The showers were clean. The... Read More

The showers were clean. The laundry area had a very high ceiling and was very dusty as a result. The machines were clean. Wifi only at the bathhouse, but cell phone was OK so we could use our hot spots for email. No clear line of site for our antenna. This is a great resort for a holiday.

As my wife and I were discussing my review, I asked her what could we point to to take away from a 5-star rating. Neither of us could think of a single thing. This campground (RV Resort) is simply beautiful. Wooded, stone borders, stone walls, and stone fire pits at every site, plus full hookup at each site. They cater nicely to big rigs, offering numerous pull-through sites as well as back-in sites, as your need exists. Small rigs down to tent trailers camp here as well. There are only two... Read More

They cater nicely to big rigs, offering numerous pull-through sites as well as back-in sites, as your need exists. Small rigs down to tent trailers camp here as well. There are only two restroom locations (same with the dumpsters guests do not leave trash near their sites, guests are expected to take care of their own trash), but they are clean, well cared for, and odor free. Showers are the same. Most sites are spaced enough to give some feeling of privacy, some are fairly close together. A few sites are nicely secluded for those of us that crave privacy. Staff was extremely pleasant and helpful, and include a "Camp host" for after hours problems. Because of Virginia restrictions due to the current COVID situation, as of this writing the pool and spacious game room are not open. Check with them if that is a gamechanger for you. Their cavern tour (discounted for guests at the RV park) was lovely. Marked well, lighted, relaxed. Our tour guide was a sweetheart, taking time for the two little kids, and still giving the information older people like. Plenty of things to do nearby, including museums, Civil War Battlefields, shopping, and Skyline Drive (fantastic). This is a quiet campground, with no street lights, and quiet hours from 11PM to 8AM. Definitely not a party campground, which totally endeared this place to us. Roads are a bit steep and gravel, 4-wheel drive is very helpful. We thoroughly loved our stay here, and assuming we are back this way, we don't even plan on looking at other locations to stay. Can not praise this campground (RV Resort) enough.

This campground is outstanding. The sites were large and very well maintained. The bathrooms and laundry were clean and well maintained. The staff were all friendly and helpful. There is a lot to see and do in this area and this campground provides easy access. There is a nice big recreation hall with lots of entertainment for adults and children alike!! We loved this campground and will certainly stay here again!!

We really enjoyed our stay at this campground. It's convenient to I-81 but no road or train noise. Our pull through site was plenty big for our 35 foot fifth wheel with trees and bushes between us and adjoining sites, rocks holding back the fill in dirt leveling the sites makes for very attractive, level sites. Picnic tables are clean and the fire rings are made of stones. Bath house and laundry areas are clean. Many hiking trails and an hour and a half tour of the Endless Caverns on the property... The staff at this location were unfriendly never saying hello, smiling or giving a wave as they drove by. The restrooms were clean on the weekends but trash was left to sit during the week. The sites are large and attractive with fire rings. Sadly the management and staff make this a unpleasant place to stay.

In the Shenandoah Valley about 4 miles south of the little town of New Market, Endless Caverns RV Resort, is affiliated with the Endless Caverns cave system. The RV park is large and carved up the side of a steep mountain. Interior gravel roads are at a 6% grade. But somehow, they constructed large, level pull thru sites that are terraced up the slope. Lots of room in-between, and staggered so that, even with rigs in adjacent sites, it seems like you can still see and have privacy. Utilities... Read More

Lots of room in-between, and staggered so that, even with rigs in adjacent sites, it seems like you can still see and have privacy. Utilities were fine, although wifi is broadcast from a single hotspot at the bottom of the hill and weakens significantly with distance. We ended up hotspotting our ATT signal for internet and email. Lots of trees and shade, although our site was fine for satellite. The resort has a large rec center, with game room and movie screen attached to a beautiful clean pool with a fountain. Trout pond on site has a walking/jogging track around it. 2 clean Bathhouses and a nice laundry also on site. The resort map shows a 2.5 mile perimeter trail that leads up to the giant ENDLESS CAVERNS sign which is visible from space. The trail is a butt-kicker. Straight up the mountain, gaining 700 feet at a 20+ grade. Nice view from up there, but certainly not for all. Staff all friendly and helpful. Large store with camping supplies. Cavern tours are discounted for park guests.

We broke down near their park. the supervisor, was so kind, patient, and helpful to us, allowing us to extend a day at a time until our repair was complete. The bonus was the Park was beautiful. They have really big, level sites, a pool, catch and release fishing, a nice camp store, and cavern tours. This is a great park to stay at, and we highly recommend it.

We enjoyed a Shenandoah Sam's outing for a long weekend in October. The sites and hookups were excellent - considering everything is built on the side of a mountain, very level and rather spacious. Two areas that could use improvement: the dining hall tables were in dire need of cleaning - spider webs, and the hiking trails could be better marked as to destination. There was no cable or wifi on our site, but we did not need it - plenty of time for visiting! In all, a very pleasant camping experience... Read More

The entire campground is located on a hillside, which is difficult for seniors to walk on and kids to ride their bikes. There are lots of boulders and rocks placed to reduce erosion but this also makes it difficult to navigate with a large camper. Don't go after dark, staff are often not available, are not equipped to direct you to your campsite, and have no knowledge of assisting with parking a camper. The only positive thing to say is that it is a beautiful and peaceful campground.

Beautiful campground at the base of the mountains. Hook-ups were in great condition and serviceable. Staff was friendly and helpful. You can't beat this place in the fall when the leaves have changed colors.

Great place with lovely sites. Hike up to the sign for some wonderful views or tour the caverns.
