This state park is a hidden gem. The evening and morning views are excellent. We stayed overnight going and returning from Utah so could only hike one short trail. We loved the quietness , beauty, and no intruding lights at night. If the opportunity arises we will stay here again. We did not use the rest rooms or showers so we did not rate them.

Beautiful, scenic campground with widely spaced level sites. Big lake for fishing & boating, a good base camp for exploring the Spanish Peaks area, and just a few miles from I-25 so also good for an overnight. Like the other CO state parks we've been to this one is also spotlessly clean with very friendly staff and hosts. $24/night is the base fee. Unless you have a CO parks pass you'll need to add $7 a day and reservations on Reserve America have a $10 fee. We camped at Lathrop State Park in a... Read More

Magnificent park with birding and trails. It was a delight to stay here. The restrooms are good, the lower rating is due to having to have quarters for shower, and that Colorado parks do not have enough benches or hooks for shower items.
