This was our second stay at Casa De Fruta, this time for a week. The facility is very pet friendly, grounds are well organized and the staff is friendly. My primary issue was with the state of the women's restroom/shower room. In the morning it was relatively clean, except for the grout mold in the showers. In the evening it was absolutely filthy, dirty muddy water all over the entire floor, hair all over the shower walls, and mold in the grout.. I realize a facility is only as neat and tidy as it's clients, but it was awful night after night. And while the showers were free, the water was lukewarm at best. On our last night, Casa De Fruta was in the PGE blackout area. Casa De Fruta has no control over that, and I get it, but the water to the RV park is pumped. They had no backup generators for the water, so the entire facility was without water. We will visit the park again but will certainly take precautions to be independent.
The sites are level and paved. Casa de Fruta restaurants and shops are within walking distance. The office staff is very friendly. The only problem is that it's not near anything. You are a 20 min drive from Hollister or Gilroy.
