Good location to access Memphis. Washrooms were fair at best. Very weak wifi.
I have stayed in this park multiple times and keep coming back becase of its location at the Mississippi River. Last two times I had electrical issues. The breakers are weak and trip to easy. I have to use the 50 amp outlet for my 30 amp system. I did not rate the restrooms because I do not use them.
We always enjoy our stay at this park on the banks of the Mississippi River. The office was nice and helpful, calling us the day before or day of rez to make sure we were going to be there before they charged us. We stayed in a different area than usual and all was well. Where else can you go and watch barges and other river traffic as the river rolls along!
Stayed one night in late June 2021. Sure wish we had more time to spend. Very quiet and peaceful. Nice benches along the river to sit and enjoy the scenery. Loved the remote feeling. Gravel parking, easy access. No dog park, but lots of areas to walk animals.
The park itself is OK, unless they get a lot of rain. My issue isn't with the park, it's with the management... We arrived on 30 April and paid for one week. The ONLY reason we chose this park was (1) the Navy base RV Park in Millington. TN was not open due to COVID-19 policy and (2) the Agricenter is not what it used to be. We are full-time RVers and we're based out if Millington, so we return to the area once a year to visit family, see all of our Doctors and renew our scripts for the next... Read More

We arrived on 30 April and paid for one week. The ONLY reason we chose this park was (1) the Navy base RV Park in Millington. TN was not open due to COVID-19 policy and (2) the Agricenter is not what it used to be. We are full-time RVers and we're based out if Millington, so we return to the area once a year to visit family, see all of our Doctors and renew our scripts for the next year. After we completed our first week we elected to convert to a monthly rate as we felt it wouldn't impact our access to the Memphis side of the river. During our first week we were notified that the base had opened however we elected to stay in place. UNFORTUNATELY the Hernando De Soto Bridge closed down on the 11th of May which significantly impacted our transit to and from the Memphis side of the river. I informed them of the situation and explained we needed to move and they told me that I couldn't get a refund for the unused day as I signed an application stating there are no refunds for early departure from a monthly reservation. Regardless of their policy, they refused to consider the extenuating circumstances and the impact to my wife & I. I will NEVER consider staying there again.

We have a 40 foot goose-neck car-hauler with living area. We did not use the restrooms. Nice and quite campground. We enjoyed our stay. But did not take the black truck out of the car-hauler because of the dust.

A great campground. Only stayed one night but a beautiful location. Lots of room between sites and right on the Mississippi River! Such a beautiful view. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
I have nothing bad to say about this park. We stayed in a 40' motorhome towing and there was plenty of room. We had full hookups. The sites are staggered and angled so you feel as if you are not right on top of your neighbor. There were a few well placed trees, just a great, not fancy park to relax and enjoy. The best of all, it is literally right on the Mississippi River. There is a small grassy area with benches between the sites and river for sitting and enjoying the views. Right across the river... Tom Sawyer's RV Park is located in a heavily forested area, right along the bank of the Mississippi River. They were sweet and helpful by providing us a last minute spot to stay in for a couple of weeks during a very busy time for them. The staff are amazing people, fun, knowledgeable, and very helpful with every request we made.
......
Laundry & Bathrooms - we stayed in the forest area toward the rear of the park so we used the quaint two story building that has the restroom/shower area below and the laundry area above. The machines are free to campers, which is a big perk. They have newer model machines. Both the laundry area and bathrooms were immaculately clean and well maintained every time we used them. This building is rather like a tree house and fits the Tom Sawyer theme perfectly. The stairs may be challenging for some but I think they have another facility in the park that has only a couple of stairs leading to it......
Sites - This park has a wide variety of sites with something for everyone's camping style. They have sites in the midst of the forest with heavy shade cover, sites with no trees at all, and various types of sites in between. They have gravel and fully paved sites, long and short sites, narrow and wide. Most of the sites we saw had picnic tables. All the sites we saw had full hookups. Our site (#33) was in the forest area with trees all around. It was gravel, fairly level, and only required a small amount of manual leveling on our part. It is a long but narrow site and our picnic table was right against the neighbors electric/sewer hookups so we didn't spend a lot of time at the picnic table. However, there are many many sites with more width than ours had. I suggest that you reserve ahead of time and let them know your preferences when you reserve. The folks who work/volunteer there know their park well and can help you find just what you need. We will return there again, and next time we will make sure to get the type site we love best. This is a great place to camp because of the variety but if you want a certain type spot some planning will help......
Pets - they allow pets and we saw all types and sizes. There are snakes, coons and other critters around so keep an eye on your fur babies....
Phone, Internet, TV, cable - Our T-mobile phone had little or no service while there. Our AT&T phone worked fairly well. We didn't have much success getting the camp wi-fi to work from our site. We had good reception of local channels with only rabbit ears on the TV. The campground doesn't provide cable hook ups......
We really enjoyed this campground, we will go again, we will plan better when reserving our spot the next time we go. The campground had a few mosquitoes, some gnats and some woolly aphids but not nearly as many insects as we expected along the river. We didn't even need to use repellent to be comfortable. The campground has a variety or trails through the jungle areas, some are easier and some are little more than deer trails....
Ice is available at the visitor center.....
Area - bike trails with bike rentals are just the other side of the levy on the road to town. You can bike and or walk along the levy. West Memphis Arkansas is a small truck stop style town. It has truckstops, a racetrack that is very active, a Walmart, fresh market etc. It is the location of the original Pancho's Cantina Style Mexican restaurant. If you take the "old bridge" over to Tennessee, you can be in Downtown Memphis Tn is about 10 minutes where you can enjoy all the tourist fun of Beale Street, take a riverboat cruise, sample some BBQ at the Rendezvous, etc.

I travel for business and the RV way of traveling is the best. When I stay at a park Wi-Fi access is right up there with AIR! My wife called this park and the first question after "Are there any spaces available?" was do you have Wi-Fi, she was told yes. When I arrived at the park and after I paid I asked how to access the Wi-Fi, I was given a password, and then was told "there is no guarantee of access". If you are looking for a family RV park to enjoy the outdoors this is probably a good place. The reason for the bad access is people stream movies and eat up all the band width. I do not understand "WHY" people would plan to come to an RV park and then stay inside watching movies. Pretty stupid thing to do and is what's wrong with all this connectivity. Anyway, I hope this info helps.
Enjoy the environment and praise God for the place we are blessed with.

I love the river views from this park. There are two rows of sites that face looking out over the Mississippi River. The sites are a mix of gravel and some that are concrete. Just an overnight stay. Watching the river traffic was enjoyable. Facilities were okay. Lots of insects particularly fire ants. Other campers were spreading fire ant poison around their sites.
A beautiful park right on the Mississippi River. As you drive into the park, don't let all of the industrial buildings and train track worry you. Once you cross the berm into the park you will forget all about them. You will hear the train a bit, but it is not too bad. The road into the park was easy to navigate, the roads in the park are a little narrow in places. Check in was fast and friendly. There are 100 sites and it appears they are building more. The park is well maintained. Sites are gravel and grass, average width. We were in site 51 which was long enough for our 37-foot Class A, tow-dolly and parking the car. Full hook-ups, no issues and 50amp electric. They have a number of trails, along the river and through the woods. Walking the dog was a breeze and clocked in a couple of miles each day. There are benches along the river for watching the tug boats, and each one has a fire pit. WiFi was spotty at times and our Verizon signal was strong. We stayed November 6 - 8, 2017 and paid $35.00 a night with our Good Sam discount.

The bath-house was very small, and there was a hefty walk to both bath houses. Only 4 bathrooms for over 100 sites. It was cold when we arrived, and the heating in one of the bathrooms didn't work. The showers were also out of hot water. While we didn't use our sewer connection, it appeared that the sewer line was filling up as I saw liquid about 5-10 feet below ground, and pouring a little waste down there made it seem that it was close to overflowing. The individual on the phone was also difficult to understand.
I wouldn't stay here for any extended period of time, but it seems like a great place to get away for a few days.

Awesome location on the Mississippi river. Great roomy spaces w an awesome view of the river. Excellent local for those wanting to enjoy the river life. Great photo opportunities from Sunrise to Set.
My wife's favorite park. Quiet and peaceful on the Mighty Mississippi River. Pros: the views of the river, lots of green space and paths to walk, level concrete pads or level gravel sites. Pull thru sites right on the river. Free laundry (8 washers and dryers). Only a few miles from I-40 and I-55 and the attractions of Memphis. We found the wifi to be sufficient. Cons: Dusty roads (all gravel), no cable, little shade on the river sites (others have shade). We did not view or use the restrooms. Read More

I enjoyed our 3 night stay. Lots of space with some spaces having shade. Some are cement pad, some are not. Some roads are paved, some are not. I took away one star because of the dusty roads. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Lots of room to walk the dogs and take walks yourself. Enjoyed watching barges go by. Close to Memphis, TN- about 10 min so easy to site see. I would stay again for sure.
What a cool place!! We stayed on the river. Loved watching the barges though they go all night and they are noisy. Place was clean except those people that don't pick up their dogs waste, and bags are provided! Lots of grass to walk your dog(s). We didn't use the bathrooms or showers so can't comment on those. Would have given a 5 if it had cable or decent WiFi. Would def stay again. Hint: use their directions not GPS. They have shady sites close to river.
We stayed here for 2 nights with our 33 ft 5th wheel on our way back home from visiting family . Staff was wonderful and very helpful. Wide streets and large pads (some concrete). Excellent for big rigs! Lots of great places to eat nearby. Awesome river views from our RV. Nice river walking space. Wifi is not so good but nevertheless VERY nice place to stay for awhile. We will definitely stay here next year on our way home from visiting family in St Louis.
Located on the banks on the Mississippi in East Memphis AR. Close to I-40 and I-55 exits; you do not have to drive through West Memphis proper to get to park. Short on amenities but more than offset by the view of the river and the barge traffic. Short term sites are close to the river; weekly and monthly sites are farther back in the trees. Paved and gravel pull-throughs. WIFI was decent. This RV park can be underwater when the Mississippi runs over its bank, so check ahead of time. We did not have any problems with the utilities. We stayed in a 36 ft 5th wheel, 50 amp. Campground was easy to find. Entire place appeared to be run down, probably the side effect of dealing with floods in the springs. The place was clean and grass kept cut. Did not use the shower/restroom, but from the outside they looked pretty rough. They were in the process of build new ones. We would stay there again, likely in the later fall when bugs aren't so bad. We did have a site along the river and it was cool watching the barge traffic on the river.
We used Tom Sawyer's as a overnight stay to and from a trip to the Smoky Mountains from Oklahoma. On our way east, we arrived well after dark. Once we got to the exit off I-40 it was very easy to find with signs and by following the directions from the website. We left early in the morning, but from what we could tell, we wanted to stop on the way home to check it out. On our return trip, it was only about 2.5 weeks after they had been underwater. There were still some campsites not ready, but the best ones (next to the Mississippi) were fantastic. Had some nice shade and the view was awesome. They have 2 main camping areas - the motorhomes face the river so the view is out the windshield and the 5 wheels have their rear toward the river for the view out what most have as their living room. The road in looks a little sketchy and the camp is not a "resort". However, the views, shade, barges, were great. It was very peaceful and quiet. In the motorhome areas the sites are a mix of concrete pads and gravel pads. The concrete pads were very level. Could not tell if cable was at the park and not yet re-installed or not. Over the air TV was available with a variety of channels. Wifi was available, but too spotty to be useful at our site.

The views are tremendous and the grounds are very quiet and clean. However, the bathroom showers did not have hot water in the evening or the morning. While making the reservation, I could not understand the person on the other end of the phone and then later when we arrived and I spoke with her one on one she was still difficult to understand.
Nice place right on the river. We stayed 2 nights to relax during a long trip and enjoyed watching the barges on the river. Good power, water, and sewer connections. Wireless internet unreliable. Level site. Biggest drawback was dust - frequently caused by campground employees who tear around on golf carts far faster than need be.
We had a great stay right on the banks of the Mississippi river. My grandson really enjoyed catching big catfish. I made the mistake of following my GPS to the site and it carried me through some rough areas. Follow their directions and save yourself the stress. I would definitely stay there again.
If you want rustic, this is the place to go. We loved watching the barges along the Mississippi River. There was plenty of room to walk the dogs. This is a great park if you are like me and do not like staying on the beaten path. I love the out of the way parks with something special . The view of the mighty Mississippi is great from this park. I will stay here again.
This is a great park. We parked on a concrete pad that was on the first row from the river. The park was clean, the power was solid (50amp), the staff was helpful. we checked in late and there was no lighting on the road leading up to the park, but once you were inside the park we were pleased with the accommodations.
A little off the beaten path but when you get to the campground the view of the Mississippi is stunning. Gorgeous sunrises and easy pull through sites. One caveat is that the campground was very dusty when we were there and there is a grainery just down the road that was in around the clock operation (it was harvest season) which added to the dust. Easy shot into Memphis from the campground.Memphis has a lot to offer and it was nice to be a bit out of town at the end of the day.
Big Rig friendly. Easy to maneuver around the park. Location along the river is sensational - watch barge traffic on the river all day (and night). Owner and staff very friendly and helpful. (provided instant help when my jeep needed a battery jump). We visited Graceland- it was about 20 minutes from the Park. The only negative is that their WIFI does not work very well. I will visit this park again.
Very nice RV park. If you have no vehicle, it's not in walking distance to anyplace. However, the shuttle will pick you up at the campgrounds, and take you to Graceland and other areas in Memphis for a very reasonable fee. Owners were wonderful. The only downside to this campgrounds would be that construction/ contractor workers live there. Their campers were shabby, and I did not feel comfortable.
I loved my stay here. I was fortunate to have a river front site and thoroughly enjoy the peace and quiet. It's clean and friendly. I will definitely stop here again.
Easy in and out from multiple Interstates, nearby fuel, beautiful setting. Staff quite friendly and helpful. Bath houses were in great shape, and very affordable laundry on-site. My only complaint is that while there is indeed Wi-Fi and a good connection to the Wi-Fi, what's behind the Wi-Fi for internet is worse than dial-up...meaning you can connect to their Wi-Fi, but it's practically useless because I tried several times and never could get on the internet. This was on 2 separate occasions in September this year and the park was not even close to its capacity. So, if you don't care about or need internet, it's an excellent place to be! If you do need these things, consider alternate methods to connect.

Great views of the river. Sitting outside watching the barges go by was unbelievable. A quick ride across the bridge to downtown Memphis.
