I actually do not feel good about even giving a star to this facility. The advertisement is incorrect, not up to date, and vividly inaccurate. We were directed to this park through a friend. No concerns, even upon calling and making a reservation. Upon arrival we were meet with an interrogation, quite a welcome about not calling upon arrival. Yet, when we called (3 times) there was only an answering machine that instructed us to call back, BUT, if it was an emergency press a number. We... Read More

No concerns, even upon calling and making a reservation. Upon arrival we were meet with an interrogation, quite a welcome about not calling upon arrival. Yet, when we called (3 times) there was only an answering machine that instructed us to call back, BUT, if it was an emergency press a number. We DID NOT press a number as it was not an emergency, yet we were instructed upon interrogation, we should have done that. During our 2 month stay we were moved once to another RV spot, then moved back to the RV spot we were instructed to be in upon arrival. All due to electrical issues. Pedestals are outdated, thank goodness we use a surge protector. Mind you all of this was in over 105/110 degree weather. We were told we should be prepared for emergencies. Mesa Sunset advertises amenities, that before, during, and after our stay were not and are still not available. The pool is questionable, the hot tub was nasty, no access to any of the clubhouse while there and other park residents said, " the clubhouse has been in reconstruction since last year before Fall 2021." No wifi due to clubhouse construction work. The laundry room was closed the last of July due to construction/renovation. The bathrooms are nasty. There are large metal fences up all around the clubhouse. They did not tell us any of this on the phone while making the reservations. The Pickleball court is in behind the dumpsters, and the maintenance shed is to the right of the court. The area stinks, is unclean and chairs are ripped. No seating, no balls, etc. Never saw the Shuffleboard area being used, as it was behind metal fences. The dog park is a long two sided area with enclosed area to unleash dogs, but the ground is extremely nasty. No one picks up after their dogs. I would not let my dogs in the area but twice, and the second time was after I complained and was told they had cleaned the area. I found that to be untrue and never let my dogs back in the area. They also advertise a dog bath area, yet upon inspection the bath area, I found the sink to be made of metal and too hot in sun for bathing dogs. I did not check to see if it was even hooked up as they have bird feeders hanging all around it, and bird poop everywhere. Apache Junction, AZ has a nice grassed fenced in dog park less than 10 miles away. Since our leave, we relocated to a better park, still in area, we found that the admin assistant has left (She was the best part of our stay) and the maintenance man(I never saw him doing anything except to ride around in golf cart, and water plants at entrance of park). Overall, the park is still charging higher rates than some, and the amenities, quality is lacking yet advertised to be one of the best in the Valley. BEWARE!

The Sun has set on Mesa Sunset. Don’t mistake this for Mesa Sunrise. They may share ownership, (or a booking company) and we got “sold” on booking a non-refundable stay here when we tried to book Sunrise and they were not available. We were not told by sales that the entire facility is under renovation. It needs it. We were told they are gated (not), 55+ (definitely not), and had age restrictions on RVs or coaches more than 10 years old (no evidence this is enforced). I have stayed in a lot... Read More

I have stayed in a lot of RV parks that I won’t be back to, but this is the first time I decided to walk away from a “non-refundable” prepayment because I didn’t think the park was safe. We loaded up and left two days into a 5 day stay and don’t regret the decision. If GoodSam thinks this place is worth 8.5 stars, I would hate to see what a 7 star park looks like.

We enjoyed our stay in a clean well lighted park right across from a Fry's grocery. The staff was very friendly and helpful, especially backing into a space. All spaces are back-in. It was convient to restaurants, and all points in Mesa. We will go back when we visit Mesa.

My wife and I are senior citizen snowbirds. We have been coming to Mesa RV Resort for many years. This year we are especially excited to return because the entire place has been totally redone, renovated, and upgraded. The new management has made everything so spotless and new. Mesa RV Resort is in such a great location. Close to 100's of great golf courses, malls, grocery stores, and the beautiful desert landscape. The other couples that snowbird here are all so friendly.
