Polarity reversal on electrical hookup (we don't think it's a problem), obnoxious odors drifting over the campsite ( we don't smell it), indifferent staff, crowded sites. A Walmart parking space is better than this camp.

Easy access from and to the interstate. Sites are level but tight. Staff was friendly at check-in, nice souvenir store. They have a hut that sells breakfast (pancakes) in the morning and a limited dinner in the evenings. We don't have a dog but saw they have a dog walk and a nice playground for the kids. No grass, all gravel sites with picnic table. Bathhouse was old but clean. Not air conditioned but, thankfully, there was a good breeze.

When we booked this camp ground we paid extra for a site with cable TV. The first evening when we tried to watch tv after exploring the local area all we got was fuzzy reception. We called the office and were told they were working on it. The next day we still had no reception and a staff member came out with a TV to prove it was working. He was extremely rude and blamed our TV system. When he came out and I had words with him and told him I would be giving this camp ground a bad review his... Read More

We have been traveling for 4 months with no TV or cable issues until this camp ground. Wound not mind if we hadn't paid extra for the cable site. In talking with our next door neighbor they had the same issues. Otherwise, the site was large and a pull thru but very muddy. No K-9 park but a narrow muddy walk way to walk the dogs. In the 3 days were stayed no garbage was picked up. All cans were full near us. The camp ground is convenient to highway and areas to visit. Some noise from highway at night. In my opinion this was the worst KOA I have stayed in

Close to everything. Petrified Forest National Park easy drive. Staff were friendly we had to change our reservation because we arrived a day early. They just moved us up a day, so we could leave early . No dog park, but a dog walking area. Sites were flat, nothing special about sites, but you are in AZ very dry area. Park was clean, the permanent RV'ers area was a little junky, but they didn't bother us. Easy pull through spots. Good for an overnight stop.

We stayed in a deluxe patio site. It was worth the extra money. It had a new privacy fence between our Motorhome & the next site. Nice patio, great patio furniture (container chest for the chair cushions to keep them clean). We also ate at the cowboy diner. Food was freshly cooked and tables were in the shade! Nice for weary travelers. Park was well maintained. Our only trouble would have been getting out of our spot. It was a pull-through, but the trailers in front of us were back a little... Read More

We would have had to unhook our tow & back out of our site, fortunately, they left before we did & could use some of their space to turn. We would stay here again.

Not a bad campground. A little tired but the staff were very helpful. Good location for the painted desert national monument/park. Good rates.

We stayed here overnight after visiting the Painted Desert & Petrified Forest. We were on our way west on I-40. This is not a bad campground, good for an overnight. This IS the high desert and as such there are watering restrictions, so no grassy areas for dog walking. We managed, but our dog is used to going on grass. The whole place is pretty much gravel and it is a little hard to tell where the site boundaries are and the edges of the roads. Having said that we did not have any problems maneuvering... Read More

Having said that we did not have any problems maneuvering or parking our 25' class C with towed car. We went to the chuckwagon cookout and had the burgers. Only issue was how long of a wait because there were so many people there. This CG is far enough from I-40 that we didn't hear any noise from it. We didn't use any of the facilities. We paid $40.77 for FHU with 30-amp for one night before KOA card discount and taxes.

We are traveling in a 40 ft motorhome with a tow car and we found the sites very short and tight. Gravel sites were very dusty. We opted for the Cowboy cookout rather than cooking our own dinner. The steaks were kinda tough but the beans were good. It was alright for a one night stay.

They sold firewood but did not allow ground fires. Said pool was heated when it was not. Did not replace doggie poo bags when out. Employees drove around in campground on polaris to fast.
