I was a full time RVer for over 22 years. Angie is probably the most friendly and helpful host I have ever met. The restrooms and shower were spotless, roomy and gorgeous. And the grounds are superbly groomed. I absolutely love the fact that smoking is not allowed anywhere. I would definitely stop here again on my way through Flagstaff.

The park has many old growth trees which makes it one of the most attractive parks we have stayed in. . The community outdoor spaces are very nice. The park is small and compact so everything is very convenient. The facilities are not modern, but clean. The park policies that include no smoking at the RV sites and no loud motorcycles riding in the park lend to an overall quiet park. However, they are off a major highway that does produce some noise. The park policies that include no smoking at the RV sites and no loud motorcycles riding in the park lend to an overall quiet park. However, they are off a major highway that does produce some noise. Also, it is sometimes difficult to exit the park. WIFI and cable work well. The location of this park is an excellent base camp to visit many attractions in the area including Sunset Crater, Snowbowl, Montezuma Castle, Sedona, Williams, Winslow, Walnut Canyon, and Petrified Forest to name a few. Also, the city of Flagstaff has much to offer in regards to restaurants and shopping. There is a large grocery store about 5 miles away. Fat Olives Italian Restaurant has excellent food and service, which is about 10 miles away. The laundry facilities need to be updated and the dryers are not efficient. The heat is not regulated well and we did have to replace several pieces of clothing due to excessive heat. There is no swimming pool or hot tub, which may be important to some people. The clubhouse is small, but there were no park activities while we were there. There were small gatherings outside, but it rained almost every day. We were kept busy seeing the many attractions in the area. Overall, this is a nice park in a good location.

This is one of the Good Sams reviews that I agree with. The owners are fantastic, the park was great and the facilities (including restrooms) were immaculate. We will be back!,

This 51 site RV park is on the east side of Flagstaff on HWY 89. It's location on this busy highway is both convenient and challenging. At certain times of the day, it can be difficult to leave the park and somewhat noisy. Once inside the park, especially at certain sites, the noise is reduced significantly. The RV park is full of old growth pines and other trees. The monsoon rains provide the smells of ponderosa pines. There are some commercial buildings around the park that may affect the... Read More

The RV park is full of old growth pines and other trees. The monsoon rains provide the smells of ponderosa pines. There are some commercial buildings around the park that may affect the noise, odors, and views of your campsites. It was a minor nuisance during our visit. The roads through out the park were pebble stones and volcanic rock. Some sites had a narrow concrete pads but the majority of the sites were volcanic rock. Hard sole shoes are a must. Grocery stores were close by and a Dollar Store was next to the park. Ice was sold here at a reasonable price. A few miles down the Highway, there was a small shopping mall, a few fast food restaurants and other businesses like drug stores. This location is a good base for many attractions in the area. We took many day trips including Sunset Crater National Monument, Snow Bowl, Williams, Grand Canyon South Rim, Painted Desert, Petrified Forest, Winslow, Walnut Canyon, Sedona, Slide Rock, Bearazonia, and many other parks and hiking trails. We liked the size, location and mix of seasonal and transient campers. The owners work on the site daily to maintain the park. Any issues we had, which were few, were addressed. We would stay here again based on our experience. Areas that could be improved are hard surface patios for each site as well as replacement of the old, wooden picnic tables so that each camper could enjoy an outdoor sitting area (without splinters) at every site. In comparison with other parks we have stayed in, this had the least amenities. There was no pool or hot tub, game areas and only one outdoor cooking area. But, the amenities that were in the park were exceptional. There were three very relaxing, attractive outdoor areas that were perfect for outdoor reading or conversation. We used them often.

We stayed here for 4 nights in site 20. Site pad is huge 75 feet I think. Plenty of room for our pickup and my nieces car. The sites are the same size you find in most rv parks. There are A LOT of rules but it is very clean and everyone is very nice and helpful. Overall rating is a 4 because we were constantly paranoid about breaking a rule. Would stay here again but not for this length of time. You do pay for the cleanliness and well maintained park.

It was my wife's birthday and after driving all day we arrived at this campground at around 5 pm./ We checked in and while my wife took our dogs to the dog walk, I set up camp. While walking back, our dogs saw another dog and barked and got excited (7 month old puppy)but mywife calmed the dogs and we put them in our trailer and continued to set up camp. As I was sitting outside looking fore a place for dinner the owner comes up and tells me we have to leave because our dogs were "aggressive" which they are NOT, we are responsible pet owners and the dogs are always on leash and under control. I asked why and he told me if I was not out in an hour he was calling the police. I told him I wasn't gonna cause any trouble but he insisted that I only have 1 hour. So, I broke it to my wife who burst into tears. I broke camp and hooked our Jeep back up to the trailer and the owner came by , he suggested we camp at Walmart-- I asked him if he had heard of social media and told him I would be sharing my experience. He told me that if I did he would sue me and said he had better lawyers than me. Nothwithstaning my exceptional legal representation, I told him to go ahead and yes, I swore at him. It was late and without a place to stay I made a reservation at a local hotel. So, Mr. owner - you are indeed a despicable piece of work and in the immortal words of Clint Eastwood -- go ahead and make my day. AVOID this cesspool.

Wow! After staying in a number of campgrounds and forest campsites this summer in the Flagstaff area, this facility deserves more than 5 stars in all the categories. The folks who run J and H (they really are J & H and some family members) fully understand how to operate the business and please the clients. Lots of rules, but they are common sense and most campgrounds would be much more enjoyable if they adopted most of these requirements. This is an age restricted facility and those of us in... This park is really pretty. Its only real drawback is the closeness of trailers, very snug. It has a nice dog run, which is well maintained. Quiet and peaceful

We had a nice 3 night stay here. The showers were nice with hooks and a bench and clean. The gravel in the roads and the sites was deep enough to cover the ground well. There was a nice table and some of the sites have a paved area. The trees are old enough to actualy provide some shade without hitting the rigs. Hwy 89 is right next to the park so sites 1 & 2 can get hwy noise (we were in 2). There are several public patio areas and they had a potluck on Sunday. There are two laundry rooms.... Read More

We stayed at the J & H RV Park in Flagstaff in May 2018 for 3 nights. What a beautiful RV park. Very clean, attractive and the owners were so kind, respectful and caring. We would highly recommend this park for any type of RV. Easy hookups. Ours was back in. Top Notch Facility.

We made a reservation more that six months in advance for a specific site that would allow us to receive satellite TV. When we checked in we were assigned to a different site even though our requested site was written on the check-in sheet by the owner. Oh, and by the way, you can't climb a ladder in this park, even to clean your windshield, and you can't make any repairs to your rig in this park.

Excellent park, lots of tall pine trees, sounds really good with the wind blowing thru the trees, very relaxing after a day of sight seeing. The staff was very helpful getting you into your spot and parked. Park was full every night, be sure you call for reservations.

Book early for this treasure! Neat as a pin and the daughter, who works the office could not be any nicer. Spots are large and pull throughs. Best park we found in the Flagstaff area. We slept like logs and did not hear any road noise.

Beautiful smaller park on the outskirts of Flagstaff. Staff couldn't be nicer, grounds couldn't be cleaner. Everything you could want except pool or spa. Didn't matter to us, we never use them. Only gripes, highway noise, 24/7. Traffic noise is incessant. In the evening the vehicle exhaust just flowed right through the park . Not what we're use to. None the less, we shall be back.

Wow! A really popular site. Be sure to get reservations in early. Easy check in and set up. Helpful staff. Near the highway, but no noise filters through.

Great facility with very friendly staff. Pet park was awesome and our miniature golden doodle loved it. Highly recommend this park if you will be staying in Flagstaff.
