This place downright sucks. It is as run-down as any we've ever seen. The first thing they do is chase your bus to get paid. Then they hand you a set of rules that says you must keep dogs on a leash and clean up after them. (We don't have any animals) The second you step outside you have to watch every step you take to prevent stepping in dog crap. Immediately upon pulling in we asked that the limbs on the trees be trimmed on the exit as we could not clear them. The lady said her husband died... Read More

Immediately upon pulling in we asked that the limbs on the trees be trimmed on the exit as we could not clear them. The lady said her husband died a couple of years ago and that she was unable to trim the trees. We asked if she had a saw and we would do it for her. She said no. We then offered to go buy a saw to trim the limbs. She said that her son would sue us if we touched the limbs. The son then showed up and asked what we wanted, even though we had also told him upon check-in. We showed him what limbs needed to be cut. He had a fellow cut only 1-2 limbs and left. By no means trimming the limbs as was needed. Upon leaving we tore the anometers off of our roof. This place is terrible and should be closed.

BEWARE!! This is a dump with a treacherous drive to navigate. Sites are grass and dirt. It was raining so it was a mud pit. Looks abandoned. Few campers, most long stay people living there. Drive on!! I wouldn't stay there again if it were free. Worst site we have ever used and we aren't novices.

If there was a way to give a Negative rating, I would. We have camped in fields at Samborees that were in better shape. The road to the Office almost required 4-wheel drive, deep ditches on each side. The road to the camp sites from the office was as bad or worse. Almost ripped off my sewer tube mounted under the rear frame. Do yourself a favor and find another place, even if it's staying at Walmart.

We called for directions and after driving around for an hour because of horrible directions, we finally found this dump. Drove up a steep incline on a pot hole filled gravel driveway. My husband walked up to the office which looked like a run downed shack and no one was there even after being told that they were open until 8pm. Also told that they only took cash. Good thing that we didn't reserve with a credit card. There were broken down vehicles and trailers that looked like they belonged in... Read More

Good thing that we didn't reserve with a credit card. There were broken down vehicles and trailers that looked like they belonged in a junk yard all over the place. We promptly left and went to stay at a hotel as there were no other campgrounds around the area. I have never seen such a disgusting campground before. I would be ashamed to admit that this is a Good Sam Campground.

This place is the worst Goodsam site we have ever stayed at. Access road in was a steep hill and dangerous in wet weather. We had to go up to be sent down and almost slid off the road. Our site was nothing but mud surrounded by ant hills and dog feces.it was dark. Didn't discover that till morning. Rest rooms were all closed. His sign on the door read it was closed for the winter. How the permanent residents deal with it is beyond me. Hey Goodsam, this is one you don't want your name associated with.
