Don't waste your time!!! This place obviously caters to full-time campers, and not weekly or week-end campers. We stayed in June, and all the "amenities" were out of service for repairs (the pool, shower house, clubhouse, etc.). All the shaded spots shown are for the full-time campers, with the weekly or weekend campers being located in an area between the rental cabins and other full-timers with no shade at all. The beach area was not very appealing, and it didn't seem like there was any place to fish from shore. The staff all appeared to be high school or young college students, and we never saw a Manager or person of authority during our stay. We asked one of the young staff for a partial refund since none of the amenities were available, but were refused. There is a really nice KOA right across the road, that doesn't cost near as much, and is run by true professionals, not summer kids making minimum wage. I would not recommend this place at all!

Definitely catered to out of state seasonal campers, we did not feel welcome at all. Sites were small and difficult to get to...especially while trying to avoid kids driving golf carts down the middle of the road. The activities were bad and the themed weekend was a joke. The only food was a food truck, which wasn't bad, but closed early. Being on a lake, there wasn't actually a place to fish and the beaches were disgusting. We had to walk about 10 minutes to get to the outdated, dirty bathrooms/showers. They refuse to pump out anyone unless you stay 30+ days. Staff was unfriendly, unprofessional, young and all around lacking. We are frequent campers and will never go back. There are several other campgrounds within 5 miles of here and they all exceed Lakelands facility.
