I have stayed here multiple times, the most recent being last week. As reviews on this and other sites say, the campground offers basic amenities, but if you need a good campground at a good price in the Huntington, West Virginia area, this is the place for you. PROs: There is an onsite restaurant that has fresh seafood and a nice bar. The sites offer full hook-up with reliable electricity and stable water pressure. There is an on-site dog park. PROs: There is an onsite restaurant that has fresh seafood and a nice bar. The sites offer full hook-up with reliable electricity and stable water pressure. There is an on-site dog park. Target, Kroger, Aldi, and multiple other retail stores are available within 5 miles of the campground. There is a convenience store located at the entrance to Kyle Lane that has both gas and diesel. Tina (Manager) is very responsive and helpful, if you have to leave a message to reserve a site, she is quick to call you back. The West Virginia Skydivers are located at the airport and are enjoyable to watch. CONs: The campground sites can be a little wet during the rainy times of the year. The railroad tracks are very close to the campground, but there is only minimal train traffic at night. No cable and no Wi-Fi, though cell service is reliable and multiple over the air TV channels are available. One note, Kyle Lane runs through a small industrial park. Continue straight on Kyle Lane until you cross the railroad tracks, then you will be at the campground.

We were driving through and needed an inexpensive overnight stop. We paid $32 with GS discount. Quiet, pretty site facing grassy airfield. It is near a train track, but only a couple small trains went through and they didn't bother us or our dogs. Sites are narrow, but pull through so we were able to easily park our 38 ft with toad attached. There is a small cafe (we did not eat there) which has a nice patio. Cute "dog cafe" area on patio where you can have your dogs with you while you eat. They... Read More

What a joke this place is. The pull thrus for big rigs was a tiny spot with a Little Rock on it. No patio, no concrete anywhere, no picnic tables. Office was "Always Closed". The sign states Office Hours 10am to 7 pm. The lady who checked us in came to our rig at 5:30 at night to check us in. No brochure about the park. Said they can't afford to pay someone to be at the office. What if there were an emergency??? Theere was some kind of bar/snack bar but wasn't open. The grass airstrip was... Read More

Didn't dare check out the restrooms.

We loved every bit of our short stay recently as we were in town for a dog show! Management was wonderful...The park was neat and very level sites. Hook-ups were great and easy access. The Cafe was excellent! And last but not least was the fabulous opportunity to watch the small planes coming in and out, as well as the skydivers! Thank you guys for having us and the dogs -- we enjoyed every moment!!

One night stay with 37' MH and tow. It had been raining for most of the day when we got there. The power pole and water hook-up had 2-3 inches of water around each. The trains are within a 100 feet of closest campsites. No planes or skydivers while we were there. I went to the office several times, no one was there. The office hours clearly stated they should be open. Will not stay again.

Stopped here not knowing much about it. (poor research) At first had a negative reaction due to sparse appearance. BAD CHOICE!! Very nice little campground with everything you need. Not fancy, but a very good overnight stay. A GREAT PLACE if you are a skydiver. (I'm not) We will stop here again. Nice people, very in tune to make your stay great.

Unique park off a grass airstrip with single engine pipers & skydivers. Small RV Park about 30 slots all pull through long enough for big rigs. Real nice, personable people - Small caf,/bar with restrooms/showers. They were clean, though a bit rustic for a "diva".
