Needed a campground close to family when we were in town. Did not realize that this is in a mobile home park with a lot of full time RV's at this location. Also staff was never in their office when I wanted to ask any questions. I was able to find out by asking other residents information that I needed. When we first arrived it was very late and there was no way to find out where our site was, there happened to be someone available in the office that placed us in an empty site and we had to move... Did get a better site sort of. Was a little quieter. Definitely will not stay here again.

Great place to stay if you are working and need a place to stay or stopping over for a night or two. It is not a campground, more a place to sleep that is quite and safe with a great location to the great Northwest. Yes, they have rules which help in keeping the problems out of the park. I needed a place to stay for a few months while I was in the area and this was the best available option for costs, park security, location to Interstate and State highways. I needed a place to stay for a few months while I was in the area and this was the best available option for costs, park security, location to Interstate and State highways. Many people are staying there for weeks and or months as well as some longer term camping residents. The lack of transient campers has added security since the long term folks watch over the park for your benefit. Also the park is well maintained and kept up with year around maintenance staff.

Staff was friendly and helpful. There is also a nice book exchange library. However, spaces are close together with very few spaces offering shade. There was no pet area even though advertised it looked like maybe the pet area was under construction. Laundry area was clean.

Nasty water at this park and extremely rude owners. Even with our double filter systems we could not get rid of the yellow color and sewer smell to their water. The sites are gravel and tight. The park has a small laundry and bathroom along with a tiny pool. The wifi did not work. Avoid this park. See our full review and pictures at www.thegilliamsisland.com

Internet is a joke I have a wifi Booster and I still had trouble getting the wifi in the spot I was in

Bad news. We arrived and no one was in the office. Had to call to check in. They do not take credit cards only cash or checks. Sent us to our assigned spot only to have someone already in the space. Were given an overflow spot with no services. Also this is part of a trailer park. What a dump

Great location for visits to Mt Rainier, Mt St Helens, Seattle, Olympia, Tacoma. We always enjoy coming to this park. Like most urban area parks, there is not a lot of extra space but they do have a nice grassy area by a creek and the landscaping in the park is beautiful at the entryway and the office. We appreciate the availability of 50 amp sites, the laundry has multiple machines and was clean with tables/racks. The bathrooms were newly remodeled and very nice. We would stay here again.

No wifi at our site #33 Mens Washroom was locked all the time we were there, on enquiring at office we were told that the laundry room was unlocked! Cash or cheque only hence no booking on internet

The spaces are gravel not hard packed or solid. The cable TV connection requires a converter for each tv and a remote for the converter. Over all I will not be back.

Not sure how this facility rates so high by others. This facility is a combination Mobile Home/ RV park. There are over 100 RV spots... behind the mobile homes. The spots are just gravel with NO landscaping! (That said at the very end of 35 and 36 there is a small grass area next to a tiny river. However this spot can only be viewed by two RVs.) Pros: None that I could see Cons: -No Picnic Tables. Individual spaces are poorly marked. -NO INTERNET DESPITE WHAT THEY SAY! (They claim it... Read More

Pros: None that I could see Cons: -No Picnic Tables. Individual spaces are poorly marked. -NO INTERNET DESPITE WHAT THEY SAY! (They claim it is slow.. but this is a massive understatement. You can only send a text email. We are talking like dial up or worse speed. Like 300 bps. No photo or pdf attachments. No viewing of websites.) -Must pay only in Cash. (Weird, but suspect this is so you can not dispute services with a credit card company or obtain a refund.) -One of the most unappealing parks I've seen thus far in our travels. This is NOT vacation or park for travelers. This park is geared to "economic minded" long-term residents. Out of the 100+ spaces, over 90 are full-time spaces. -Many signs telling you what you can not do in park. Very unfriendly. Of major note is GUESTS ARE NOT ALLOWED IN PARK unless they are approved and registered by office. So you may not have visitors unless approved by office staff. -Hard to find any appeal to this park. The Majestic is everything BUT Majestic. Do not recommend for travelers... certainly not those on vacation. -Lots of cigarette smoke everywhere, including office where supposedly no smoking is allowed, and dog feces everywhere so watch where you step! -Lastly the staff was not exactly unfriendly, but far from friendly. They seemed bored.

We spent 6 nights at Majestic, enjoyed everyday of our stay!! Sure the compost pile is there, gravel pads for your RV, but are nothing compared to the convenience, and friendliness of this park. Called the office on the morning of the evening we were arriving, asked for a space for our 40' MH, she required NO credit card to hold our reservation, she is "old school", expects the best from RV'ers and gets respect in return, I said we may arrive after office hours, she said "that's okay we'll your... Their cash only policy is great, keeping their rates extremely low in comparison for the service and quality of sites Majestic offers us RV'ers. Why throw away valuable money to a bank to get silly points/miles, when saving quite a few dollars on the rate because of no bank card fees, then get a 10% Good Sam Discount to boot!!! Talk about a smart RV Park Operator, they're tops, would rather have the cash in pocket for other uses. While there, they were completely remodeling the Men's restrooms/showers, so expect them to be really nice when we return on our next visit. Don't know all the "chatter" about pet unfriendliness, not true, our neighbors walked their pets without leases daily. Overall 5 stars for friendly service, value, location, condition of property (very well maintained), cleanliness of laundry (big & roomy, updated appliances), ample parking space, between rigs, we only have 2 slides but the rigs on each of us had 4 each, and still had ample room. Personally, I don't think you'll be disappointed, for all the Pros of this park, a couple of minor things aren't even noticeable at all, stay with Majestic, they give you 100% service and value. For the South Puget Sound area, this is centrally located, as said above, we spent nearly a week, enjoying the area. NO REFUNDS? If you can't make up your mind, or too picky, just pay for a night, cash, if you think I'm wrong, pack up and leave, but am certain, you'll stay!!!

The Lady at the desk was very nice. They only except cash or checks no credit cards. The lots are so tight the slides nearly touch the other campers on both sides of you. All connections are at the very back of the lot so extensions are needed. The laundry, bathroom and shower facility is a modified double wide trailer. The laundry area id fairly decent but the showers is a common shared room with only a curtain for privacy. The park has several permanent residents. I would not stay there again. Read More

Very nice people and place to stay. Conveniently located, big sites. Would love to stay there again.

This is the worst RV park we have ever stayed in. The staff was friendly but that was about it. Cash or check only with no refunds. All stone gravvel everywhere; with no attempt at landscaping. Main feature was the huge compost heap (+50 feet) next to the park. Pool was full of green slime. No dog facilities but lots of signs saying Don't Walk your Dog. Noiisy at night as there is a large population of old RV people who look down on their luck and come and go at all hours.

Very nice RV Park to spend the night. It has full service and is very clean and well kept. The only drawback is they only except cash or checks and this has created issues for us in the past. As long as you are aware and have cash available this is a great place place to stop for the night.

First, the good...the young woman in the office was extremely helpful and pleasant. While the RV park is also a mobile home park, the two are kept separate. There is a pretty little creek (not really accessible) that runs along the back of the property. We stayed here on the weekend of the drag races, so the place was pretty full. Now for the rest... We had reservations but some people didn't leave so what we reserved was not available and we had two options - parallel park our 40' 5th wheel... Read More

We had reservations but some people didn't leave so what we reserved was not available and we had two options - parallel park our 40' 5th wheel between two carnival rigs or back into a spot that was 30 amp service. The "dog walk" is a joke. It's actually a road w/ signs threatening fines if we don't pick up after our dogs. My dogs won't poop on a road. Oh, yeah, the dog walk is where they wanted to parallel park us. There are NO refunds. Make sure you like your spot before paying by cash or check (they don't take credit cards.) The place is not kept up and is next to what appears to be a landfill, though most of the view of that is blocked by trees which encompass the park. The roads are fairly narrow. The sites are adequately wide. We would NOT stay here again.
