We missed an opportunity here! We planned only one night on our way to somewhere else and we should have planned more. Friendly staff, nice spots made attractive by native grass landscaping, and close to what looks like a unique downtown. If you are in this area, we recommend this park. (We're full-time RVers on the road for over 3 years now.)

First of all, the RV park staff were fantastic, very friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed, even a propane tank fill up after hours! The park amenities are also great, well maintained with large roomy sites, great wifi, and cable TV. They also had the cleanest and largest bathroom/showers I've ever seen at an RV park, or anywhere else for that matter. We loved that we could walk to dinner on the historic main street. We will definitely stay here again! Read More

nice park with hard working staff to keep park in tip top shape. couldn't ask for nicer folks working there.

After a long day traveling Castle Gate was the best place to stop. The parking is level and roomy, the showers and bathrooms were the best ever. Staff could not be nicer and the town was very interesting.

We were only here overnight on our way to Moab. Very much wish we could have stayed another night. Staff was very friendly and helpful, very clean campground and facilities and beautiful spot.

Excellent well-maintained campground. We stayed for almost a full week. Staff is friendly, all facilities are very clean, new and well-maintained. The park is mostly gravel, of which much was washed away with an unprecedented storm - which washed away many sites, caused flooding, and made tons of mud. But the next day they had staff working on the restoration. Good place for families and kids. They have a splash pad, a horseshoe pit and playground. The only problem is that these play areas... The only problem is that these play areas are near the road which is a few feet above the area. Fast cars going down the street - if one were to lose control, it would be devastating. I STRONGLY suggest that a guardrail be placed along the road in this area - regardless of who pays for it. The park is new - brand new connections. Electric and water are towards the front of the sites, and the sewer is where you would expect it at the back. Not sure of the thinking of this placement. Not a huge deal but doesn't really made sense. Make sure you have a water pressure regulator as the water pressure is very high. I wish there was a pickleball court and pool, but this is a new park, so perhaps they will add in the future. Laundry room was clean with a change machine. The sites were flat and there is plenty of room. Our site was double-wide, not sure if all of them are, but we also had a new picnic table and firepit (which we did not use). The general store was new and clean and has any of the essentials that you might need. I didn't pay much attention to the food and drink since I was overstocked in the RV. But there are gifts, RV supplies, snacks and more. Lots of trains pass by - which I actually enjoyed. The river on in the back of the site is very muddy and runs fast. Do not let your kids in it or play around it unsupervised. Wifi was mostly great. There are repeaters around the property. You can work and do zooms without worry. A few times it seemed to get congested but so did our AT&T wifi - all at the same time. We were connecting directly to both and strangely they both became slow/unusable at the same exact time, which led me to believe there was something causing general interference. Train communications? Something else? Who knows. But again, best RV park wifi that I have ever seen. The town of Helper is within walking distance, so you can explore, shop and eat without driving. Overall I thought this RV park was great. I would definitely come to visit again when in the area.

Staff very friendly. Bathrooms and showers were very clean and new. Parking was easy in and out and our space was clean and neat. Very cool children's area that included a water feature and grassed area. They had propane and a free air hose for tire inflation. I definitely recommend Castle Gate RV and will stay there again.

This was agreat stop for us. Casle Gat is a supurb camp ground. Staff was very helful and courteous, Facilities were excellent, showers and bathrooms spacious and clean. Particularly liked the red light green light over the shower/bathrooms. Toen of Helper within walking distance of campground. Small town with friendly atmosphere. We were there four nights and would stay again. Sites are clean, spacious, level. Hookups were easily acessible.

We only stayed one night, a great little stop on the way to SLC. I was very impressed with the large showers/bathroom, general store, and the overall well taken care of property.

This was the cleanest rv park I have ever seen. The restrooms and showers are private and super clean. The staff if extra helpful. They escort you to your site. They call the day before to confirm you reservation. They go out of their way to make you feel welcome. The sites are spacious enough, have a picnic table and fire ring. The river is steps away and you can see the train as well. Love this place and will be back again.

We paid $51.53 for a water (with very high pressure), 30/50 amp, sewer back in site on gravel. They offer free WiFi but our Verizon service was excellent. Great family style restrooms with wonderful showers. Absolutely fantastic laundry facilities. Love the flowing little creek along the park. For the entire review and photos,... Read More

A gem in the rough. My wife and I reserved a site with the opportunity for train watching, it was great. The trains passed within 100 feet of our sight. New campground so trees don't offer much shade yet but landscaping is very well done and still in progress. Nice location next to a beautiful active stream with level sites new facilities and camp store. The staff was very accommodating and the surrounding canyon beautiful. Camp sites offer new tables, fire pit and nicely landscaped lounge area.

The camp hosts were the nicest and most friendly people. The staff made sure we had everything we needed and supplied us with great information about nearby sites and things to do. Will definitely go back. Highly recommend. The Campground is newer with WiFi access throughout the Campground. The facilities are clean well kept up.

We were very pleased with the RV accommodations at Castle Gate. The great amount of research and planning put into this park are apparent. The entrance and exit are spacious as well as the individual sites. No problem maneuvering around with a 40 ft motor home. What a great RV Park! We stayed here for (4) nights in late August. Plenty of room for bigger rigs, power, water and sewer easy to access. The sites are clean and wide enough you have privacy between sites. The office, laundry and bathrooms were spotless. Hosts are friendly and very helpful. Each site has a nice table and fire ring. There was a small splash pad next to the office. A small but nice pet run. We are already planning a trip back to Helper!

This is a very nice RV park! As the trees and decorative grasses grow, it will only make it much nicer with shade! Plenty of room at each campsite and pull through for my Class A Motor Home. The staff was very friendly and helpful! We would definitely stay again!

Clean and new looking park. Train goes next to park but is not a problem. The site we were in was not level but didn't require a lot of work to level. There are some small trees and in a few years (ten or more) they will help to shade the sites. The park is overpriced for the area. This is not a destination park but has some interesting history and museums to see. We only stayed one night because we were on our way home. I'd recommend the sites that back up to the Price River. The resort had planted extra vegetation and strategically placed some benches and picnic tables to enjoy time by the river. I predict that this park will quickly become the go-to park for stop-overs when traveling in this area or as a destination to visit the charming, historic town of Helper.

The park is new and it shows as it is clean and well planned. The sites have little shade. The surface is a thick, well-packed rock/gravel. Even when it rains, there will no mud. There is a splash pad for the kiddies, and the Price River (mostly a glorified creek at this point) runs along the west border. It looks a little fishy. The wind was a bit of a factor, in that it seemed to never quit! It may have been our timing, or it may be where the park is located that brings a "prevailing breeze" through it. The park is very clean, there is almost always an employee keeping the weeds away, and all of the staff we came in contact with were very friendly and professional. There was a mix of motorhomes/campers and tents. The area around it is historic and charming. We geocache, and that got us to some amazing views! When in Helper, be sure to check out Marsha's Sammiches....yum! Happiness Within has some delightful coffee's too! Heck, the whole town is really nice. Happy Trails!

Very nice and clean campground. Very friendly and helpful staff. Did not use the restrooms but used the laundry facilities and they were very nice. Grounds are well kept with packed gravel roads and sites. Only negative for me was a railroad track with trains running day and night (but was not that bad) and thought the site rate at $66, before Good Sam's discount, was a bit high. Been out traveling for 4 weeks and this was the highest rate we have paid.

In our over 500 nights of RV camping this was by far the noisiest night we have ever had, and the first time I have felt the need to write a review.Even earplugs were only of partial assistance. We do have a pick up truck pop up camper, we were parked in the tent area. I think staying in an actual tent in that area would be unbearable. A full size RV with lots of insulation and parking on the far side of the campground might make it more tolerable but sitting outside would not be enjoyable. The bathrooms were spotless , the campground was clean -- normally it would have been a perfect campground. Instead it was really the night from h*** Note to manager: As a liability issue I would strongly suggest putting rubber anti slip mat in the shower. The flimsy fold up chairs in the bathrooms are also not suitable for the average size American and I am sure they will collapse and possibly cause injury. I strongly suggest you correct these 2 issues for your own liability

Brand new, well laid out extremely helpful & friendly staff fabulous shower rooms nice, covered grill/picnic/wash area extensive sapling plantings that will be gorgeous shade trees great splash pad, dog run, and laundry. Abuts the Price River, a faster moving river, so no 'skeeters' that we saw. These folks want Happy Campers! I don't usually reviews parks where we've stayed but to be honest with you, if I didn't leave a review on Castle Gate in Helper Utah I would be doing a disservice to any RV's traveling Highway 6 between Green River and Salt Lake City. The facilities are immaculate, the spaces level and well spaced, the bathrooms are spotless, totally private with a LARGE shower, sink and toilet! Best of all could not be nicer and more welcoming. No kids, but they also have a kiddo playground complete with a water... Read More

We really enjoyed our stay at Castle Gate RV Park. We didn't rate the restroom because we never went into it. We had a site right next to the river, and listened to the running water all night long, The owners have cleared out the brush and placed cute benches next to the river. Our site was bigger than we are used to and everything was very clean and looked new. We are going to stay longer on our next trip. The small town of Helper was very cute and had lots of shops and buildings we wanted... Read More

Stayed overnight after driving all day across Nevada, along with traffic jams in Salt Lake City heading to Moab. Needed a place to relax for the night. This place was so new and conveniently planned sites that I hated leaving the next day. Helper is a great little town and the people so hospitable, and helpful. The store is barely stocked, and I'm sure its because of the new opening. As time goes by the operators will learn what the store needs. I loved the background scenery of this park. The... Read More

The store is barely stocked, and I'm sure its because of the new opening. As time goes by the operators will learn what the store needs. I loved the background scenery of this park. The showers & restrooms have occupancy lights above the doors which is something I haven't seen at any other campground. Once the trees grow in couple of years it will be very well shaded. This is an hidden gem now, and as long as management keeps up what they have, it will become very well known. Only one negative I found, railroad tracks nearby with a freight train coming in the early morning hours will wake you up, but hey, its worth it. We plan on coming back to Utah in couple of years, this park will be on my list of places to stay for more then an over-night.

We were very happy to find this brand new RV park in Helper! Very friendly staff to help with any need. Nicely laid out park with lots of room. Since it was so new they were still doing some finishing touch ups such as the river bank walk. Trees are still small but that was not an issue with us because we have an awning and air conditioner. We look forward to using this campground many times in the months and years to come.

The campground was only open for a month so everything is new. Individual bathrooms with showers were wonderful. The staff were very friendly and helpful. New trees have been planted so will take a while to mature. The trailer pad was solid and level. Internet was exceptional. The town of Helper is in revival mode and very interesting history and museum.

We found this campground by asking at a gas station in Price. My phone searches were not coming up with a campground with showers and bathrooms. The gal at the gas station said this was a new place and had a general store and showers. We arrived after hours on a Sunday and the sign on the door said to find a spot and pay in the morning. Someone actually came out of the office and directed us to a spot and said to pay in the morning. We got parked and the campground host came over and introduced... Read More

This place was awesome! Super nice people and great facility. The playground and little splash park looked like a lot of fun for kids. We only stayed one night but were very impressed and would highly recommend for a short or long stay.

Read More

After a long day traveling Castle Gate was the best place to stop. The parking is level and roomy, the showers and bathrooms were the best ever. Staff could not be nicer and the town was very interesting.
