New campground so trees don’t offer much shade yet but landscaping is very well done and still in progress. Nice location next to a beautiful active stream with level sites new facilities and camp store. The staff was very accommodating and the surrounding canyon beautiful. Camp sites offer new tables, fire pit and nicely landscaped lounge area.

The camp hosts were the nicest and most friendly people. The staff made sure we had everything we needed and supplied us with great information about nearby sites and things to do. Will definitely go back. Highly recommend. The Campground is newer with WiFi access throughout the Campground. The facilities are clean well kept up.

We were very pleased with the RV accommodations at Castle Gate. The great amount of research and planning put into this park are apparent. The entrance and exit are spacious as well as the individual sites. No problem maneuvering around with a 40 ft motor home. The trees and shrubs will provide for nice privacy at the sites as they mature. The facilities are very clean, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The walk along the river is a real plus! Definitely stay there again when in the area.

What a great RV Park! We stayed here for (4) nights in late August. Plenty of room for bigger rigs, power, water and sewer easy to access. The sites are clean and wide enough you have privacy between sites. The office, laundry and bathrooms were spotless. Hosts are friendly and very helpful. Each site has a nice table and fire ring. There was a small splash pad next to the office. A small but nice pet run. We are already planning a trip back to Helper!

This is a very nice RV park! As the trees and decorative grasses grow, it will only make it much nicer with shade! Plenty of room at each campsite and pull through for my Class A Motor Home. The staff was very friendly and helpful! We would definitely stay again!

Clean and new looking park. Train goes next to park but is not a problem. The site we were in was not level but didn't require a lot of work to level. There are some small trees and in a few years (ten or more) they will help to shade the sites. The park is overpriced for the area. This is not a destination park but has some interesting history and museums to see. We only stayed one night because we were on our way home. I don't think we will utilize this park in the future because of the high price.

Relaxing 3 night stay in this relatively new (opened April 2019), clean and well-planned RV park. Terrific upsides include: 1) wide parking spaces 2) private, incredibly clean restrooms in 2 different buildings 3) nice, high-efficiency laundromat 4) awesome WiFi access that made it possible to stream shows while waiting out the afternoon heat in our trailer 5) beautiful canyon views. Relatively minor downsides: 1) we were surprised to have to level our trailer from side to side (had to raise one side up 2 leveling blocks) - this is a little detail but makes a big difference when setting up 2) the beautiful trees are young so be prepared for very little shade for a few years 3) gravel pads instead of concrete. I'd recommend the sites that back up to the Price River. The resort had planted extra vegetation and strategically placed some benches and picnic tables to enjoy time by the river. I predict that this park will quickly become the go-to park for stop-overs when traveling in this area or as a destination to visit the charming, historic town of Helper.

The park is new and it shows as it is clean and well planned. The sites have little shade. The surface is a thick, well-packed rock/gravel. Even when it rains, there will no mud. There is a splash pad for the kiddies, and the Price River (mostly a glorified creek at this point) runs along the west border. It looks a little fishy. There are some comfortable, shaded spots to rest on a bench along the river. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay. This is not particularly close to any popular visiting spots. If you are one of those people who enjoy the high mountain desert, this is for you. It is also superbly positioned as a stopping place for the night as there is little else around.

We loved our stay at the Castlegate RV park!! The splash pad was so fun to have right there on site! The staff ( I dealt mainly with Evelyn she’s the best there is) was so good and helpful! The sites are big and very nice sites , I didn’t feel like I was sitting at my camp picnic table and the next door neighbors sewer was right there with me. We started over the 4th of July and Evelyn and Wendy brought glow sticks around to all the kids it was awesome!!!! The price might be a little more than somewhere else but I really feel like it is worth it?????? Thank you so much!! Can’t wait to come back??

The width of the sites is amazing. They easily could have had twice as many sites on this property, but chose to make it a five star type resort instead. Thank you! Plenty of room to relax by your rig without hearing your neighbors. We like trains, and the trains going by was fun to hear. We didn't notice them at all at night. Just beyond the river, that our site backed up to, is the highway. By day, there is plenty of traffic, but like the trains, it wasn't noisy at all at night. The wind was a bit of a factor, in that it seemed to never quit! It may have been our timing, or it may be where the park is located that brings a "prevailing breeze" through it. The park is very clean, there is almost always an employee keeping the weeds away, and all of the staff we came in contact with were very friendly and professional. There was a mix of motorhomes/campers and tents. The area around it is historic and charming. We geocache, and that got us to some amazing views! When in Helper, be sure to check out Marsha's Sammiches....yum! Happiness Within has some delightful coffee's too! Heck, the whole town is really nice. Happy Trails!

Very nice and clean campground. Very friendly and helpful staff. Did not use the restrooms but used the laundry facilities and they were very nice. Grounds are well kept with packed gravel roads and sites. Only negative for me was a railroad track with trains running day and night (but was not that bad) and thought the site rate at $66, before Good Sam's discount, was a bit high. Been out traveling for 4 weeks and this was the highest rate we have paid.

Full hook up include water, sewer, electric CABLE and WiFi! The sites are spacious. The park is new so the trees are small but lovely and is nestled between the Helper Rail yard and the Price River. Great for train spotting or fishing or a walk to town. The bathrooms and showers are cleaner than most peoples kitchens - spacious and just lovely. The cabins are cute, the main building, pavilion, and maintenance shed are all handsome structures and befitting of the geography. Helper is a quaint town with deep history, there is so much more to explore than meets the eye. From art galleries to good eats Helper is fun.

Awesome stay while traveling through Utah to home. The staff was very helpful in getting us setup and shown the facilities. The facilities were new and clean. The shower was a double size like home. It was so refreshing....be aware the lights in the bathrooms which were sparkling clean are on a motion sensor so they will turn off on you if you are too long behind the shower curtain. We will be back when we are going through again. It has a river that runs along the property. Fire rings to do marshmallows when it's warmer.

Beautiful new, clean and very friendly park! We loved being close to the train tracks, and we were pleasantly surprised at how much there was to see and do around Helper UT. We enjoyed learning it’s history, waking up with the mountains looking down on us every morning, and the mooning rising above them every night. This RV Park and town are some of Utah’s best kept secrets!! Lovely stopping point between Salt Lake City and Moab. Make sure you stay more than one night, eat at the Marsha’s Sammy Shop, drive out Nine Mile Canyon, you won’t be disappointed!!

WARNING!! This is a brand new RV park that is very well done. The only problem is it sets between a highway on one side and a road and railroad tracks less than a 100 yd away on the other side. It is not only a railroad track is a railroad yard. We had constant railroad engine idle running noise from 6:00 p.m. at night to 2:00 am. Constant probable shuffling noise of train cars. In our over 500 nights of RV camping this was by far the noisiest night we have ever had, and the first time I have felt the need to write a review.Even earplugs were only of partial assistance. We do have a pick up truck pop up camper, we were parked in the tent area. I think staying in an actual tent in that area would be unbearable. A full size RV with lots of insulation and parking on the far side of the campground might make it more tolerable but sitting outside would not be enjoyable. The bathrooms were spotless , the campground was clean -- normally it would have been a perfect campground. Instead it was really the night from h*** Note to manager: As a liability issue I would strongly suggest putting rubber anti slip mat in the shower. The flimsy fold up chairs in the bathrooms are also not suitable for the average size American and I am sure they will collapse and possibly cause injury. I strongly suggest you correct these 2 issues for your own liability

To start, you must realize that this is a brand new park in a small western town. There is not much greenery and the trees are small. The only reason this park didn't get 5 stars from me is that the area for dog walking is limited and my dog in particular gets tired of walking on gravel. That said, this park is nice and going to be very nice as it matures. The spaces have plenty of distance between them and they are well groomed gravel. The wifi is fiber and they told us to stream whatever we wanted. Cable TV is greats as well. The bathroom/shower combinations are large, clean and pleasant. The best part...the staff. They are so nice and accommodating. We were greeted with smiles and they were more than happy to assist us with whatever we needed. I would recommend this park if you are traveling through Utah's Castle Country.

We made a quick overnight stop in Helper, Utah at this brand new gem. They’ve only been open four months, and the newly planted trees are still growing but it’s a super nice, large, park. The sites are gravel but they are large and level and the river runs right next to the park. The individual bathrooms are very nice and the cleanest we have seen! The splash pad and playground is a great touch. The off leash pet area has the greenest grass! The new tent sites going in along the river look fantastic for tent camping with amenities but still have the wilderness feel! If you’re enroute from Salt Lake City/Provo to Durango it’s a great overnight stop but it is also a great destination stop for a longer stay. We are only sorry we didn’t have more time to explore.

I don’t usually reviews parks where we’ve stayed but to be honest with you, if I didn’t leave a review on Castle Gate in Helper Utah I would be doing a disservice to any RV’s traveling Highway 6 between Green River and Salt Lake City. The facilities are immaculate, the spaces level and well spaced, the bathrooms are spotless, totally private with a LARGE shower, sink and toilet! Best of all could not be nicer and more welcoming. No kids, but they also have a kiddo playground complete with a water fountain to cool the kids off! Without a doubt the nicest RV park we’ve ever stayed in!!!

We really enjoyed our stay at Castle Gate RV Park. We didn't rate the restroom because we never went into it. We had a site right next to the river, and listened to the running water all night long, The owners have cleared out the brush and placed cute benches next to the river. Our site was bigger than we are used to and everything was very clean and looked new. We are going to stay longer on our next trip. The small town of Helper was very cute and had lots of shops and buildings we wanted to check out. We arrived too late so we'll have to wait.

Stayed overnight after driving all day across Nevada, along with traffic jams in Salt Lake City heading to Moab. Needed a place to relax for the night. This place was so new and conveniently planned sites that I hated leaving the next day. Helper is a great little town and the people so hospitable, and helpful. The store is barely stocked, and I'm sure its because of the new opening. As time goes by the operators will learn what the store needs. I loved the background scenery of this park. The showers & restrooms have occupancy lights above the doors which is something I haven't seen at any other campground. Once the trees grow in couple of years it will be very well shaded. This is an hidden gem now, and as long as management keeps up what they have, it will become very well known. Only one negative I found, railroad tracks nearby with a freight train coming in the early morning hours will wake you up, but hey, its worth it. We plan on coming back to Utah in couple of years, this park will be on my list of places to stay for more then an over-night.

We were very happy to find this brand new RV park in Helper! Very friendly staff to help with any need. Nicely laid out park with lots of room. Since it was so new they were still doing some finishing touch ups such as the river bank walk. Trees are still small but that was not an issue with us because we have an awning and air conditioner. We look forward to using this campground many times in the months and years to come.

The campground was only open for a month so everything is new. Individual bathrooms with showers were wonderful. The staff were very friendly and helpful. New trees have been planted so will take a while to mature. The trailer pad was solid and level. Internet was exceptional. The town of Helper is in revival mode and very interesting history and museum.

We found this campground by asking at a gas station in Price. My phone searches were not coming up with a campground with showers and bathrooms. The gal at the gas station said this was a new place and had a general store and showers. We arrived after hours on a Sunday and the sign on the door said to find a spot and pay in the morning. Someone actually came out of the office and directed us to a spot and said to pay in the morning. We got parked and the campground host came over and introduced herself and offered any help. This place was awesome! Super nice people and great facility. The playground and little splash park looked like a lot of fun for kids. We only stayed one night but were very impressed and would highly recommend for a short or long stay.
