The only reason they did not get all 4 stars is no sewer at site, but a good dump station. Only $10.00 a night for seniors so I really cannot complain. Right on Louisville lake. The park rules are a bit strange bot it is run by the city so Okay, My site was just large enough to fit my 30 ft fifth wheel and even though I am 50 amps I could only get a 30 amp site ( city rules ). If you stay here I suggest you tell them your rig is larger than it actually is. 35 ft. gets you 50 amps, 2 AC's get... Read More

We like this campground. The price is wonderful. The lots are good, some better than others. Smaller trailers can sometimes get a lot overlooking the water. We have a 38' 5th wheel trailer. Some sites are asphalt, not real level and somewhat broken up, but still OK. The park and lake are VERY nice. The restrooms are good for a public facility, not fancy, but clean and serviceable. Because the sites do not have sewer hookups it is a great park for a short visit, a week to 10 days, and dump... Read More

This is not a park that has a club house, heated pool, bingo etc. We had no trouble securing a site in January, but earlier in the season, November, the Park was much busier. Dallas area weather in November is usually quite nice. January in the Dallas area can be cold.

Stayed here for 28 days. 30 amp spots were pretty close although plenty of room to pull out your slides. Park was easy to navigate. Fairly difficult to get in the spot if not a pull-through. Also really strict on rules for parking, and the gates close at night, so if you aren't back in time, you have to park across the street. 50 amp spots were spacious and concrete. Depending on your spot, you could have a beautiful view of the lake. Also very close to the lake which was nice. Of course,... Read More

Most of the spots were shaded as well. Facilities are well-maintained, and the staff is accessible. My biggest issue is that there are no sewer hook-ups. You have to drive to the dump station to empty. Part of that is on me because I didn't really read/care about the hook-up situation as this was the first park that I parked my trailer at after purchasing it (first-time RV'er & this was my first RV park I stayed at after purchasing my RV). In addition, you are not allowed to stay longer than 28 days, no matter what. We were leaving the entire state of Texas - maybe for good - and they wouldn't let us stay an extra two days, even if the park isn't full. They also threatened to fine me 5 bucks because I didn't leave the park after check-out time. I was completely out of my spot and was parked on the edge near the lake & away from everyone to check my tires & valves - and they almost tried to fine me. Bottom line - beautiful, quiet park with close proximity to the highway w/o hearing the highway. I would stay here again, and I would recommend others to stay here as well.
