On July 1,2016 we arrived at Leisure Campgrounds and Resort. When we arrived there that night we had to spend 45 min to get our vehicle registered. when we found our spot 111 it was a pull thru spot and very cramped. We could spit on the next person thats how close they were to each other. We got everything set up, and then after one day being there their electricity breaking system went out and we had no air in 106 temp with a 1 mo old baby. after their workers there said it was fixed 2 min later... So because of the situation with no electrcity we left early and the mgmt refused to give my money back on the day we had left. Their was partying after hrs there. I would never recommend this park to anyone.

This is a campground we have stayed out for several years with multiple trips. We stayed over Fathers Day weekend...what a mistake! Management allowed over capacity camping. The RV sites were separated from the river by tent camping & primitive camping. The river was not accessible due to almost tent to tent ez-ups set in the river. Although the handout specifically stated no dogs on or in the river, there were several. No enforcement of the pet rules. Restrooms were not kept clean or serviced.... Read More

Extra fees for extra people unevenly enforced. Overall, this place was too full, even if technically not overbooked. Last time for us, a shame, it is convenient and has good appeal.

We have visited this park twice. Once just to stay while visiting another place nearby and this last time just for a weekend getaway. Place is very nice with a family friendly atmosphere. Nice playground and mini golf for kids. Too cool to actually get in river, but heard it is a popular place to tube in warmer months. Sites are close together but with 41 ft 5th wheel, we had no problem getting into pull thru with room to park truck. Only complaint is the 10 pm quiet time. We understand the purpose... Read More

We understand the purpose of quiet time, but the security guard would not let us have any type of music playing even if it was very quiet. Others in the park also said that the security guard was a stickler on that all the time. Overall good experience, but park needs to let people relax as long as they are not interrupting others. Will probably be back.

Only reason overall is not "5" is backing in 30' trlr with long bed p/u was a tad dicey. Fifth Wheelers had little issue with slightly narrow access road between sites. Sites are a bit close together...but I gather this park has been around a while! It's definitely a diamond in the rough...and that refers to getting to the camp-the park is a diamond for sure, and worth seeking out. We actually lucked out to get a last minute reservation; vintage camper club was there and the park was packed with... Read More

We actually lucked out to get a last minute reservation; vintage camper club was there and the park was packed with 3 day weekend campers. Rightfully so- beautifully shaded sites, adjacent to river, amenities and facilities second to none. Noticed right away a kid friendly atmosphere; bikes, scooters and playgrounds aplenty. We were in transit on our way home to Oklahoma, so only had the one night to take it all in....but I can see this facility as a destination camp since it's not far from San Marcos, Lockhart and other historic "small" towns...and New Braunfels isn't that far. As I told the "crew"...definitely keeping them in my "RV Park" phone list.
