The drive to the campsite from Hwy 209 is not for the faint of heart. They advertise big rig friendly but do not tell you that the winding and narrow road will challenge those with a long and tall rig requiring a pull thru, Once inside the park be advised to use every bit of road to enter and exit your spot unless you want to disconnect, back up and try again. Can it be done with 42' tag with a dolly? Yes, we did it first time. Im just saying... prepare. Lots of shade was helpful in July. Site for pull thru's was level. We paid $61 for our 65' pull-thru site with 50 Amp and no sewer. Check in staff was on the ball and facility was dated but well stocked. We didn't like the camp smoke and we have no kids, but were prepared mentally as like most KOA's both were plentiful. We only stayed one night en-route east, but would only stay again because of location and proximity to 209.

My travel trailer broke down and we almost had to cancel the trip. Luckily they had a deluxe trailer rental onsite for rent during the date of my stay. They had a great Halloween trail and dance with a really good band. They had some really beautiful patio sites and have a dog park that is much bigger than the ones that I have seen at other campgrounds. My travel trailer broke down and we almost had to cancel the trip. Luckily they had a deluxe trailer rental onsite for rent during the date of my stay. They had a great Halloween trail and dance with a really good band. They had some really beautiful patio sites and have a dog park that is much bigger than the ones that I have seen at other campgrounds.
From the time we walked into the store to register to the time we left we really got the feeling that we found a place with "heart". You can tell the staff loves to work there. They all must be owners because there is such a feeling of pride and "ownership" in the campground that we even asked some of the workers how they got the job there and what was in the water.
We met some Seasonal campers too! Normally we stay away from the Seasonal campers in a campground because they tend to be creepy however even on a Halloween weekend these Seasonals were so genuine and nice they couldn't be creepy even when they were trying!
Speaking of trying to be creepy, their Haunted Hayride was masterful! I don't want to give away to much but I can say that the haunting was not confined to to the haunted trail and there may or may not have been a clown with a red balloon involved.
This is our families new favorite go-to campground!
