Premier RV Resorts has several RV parks located in California and Oregon. We stayed at the Premier RV Resort in Eugene, Oregon and at the Premier RV Resort in Salem, Oregon. We were very pleased with the facilities at their Eugene, Oregon RV park. The Premier RV Resort in Salem, Oregon, however, is NOT RECOMMENDED for many reasons. To begin with, the Premier RV Resort in Salem, Oregon is an old RV park with tight turns and short and narrow pull through RV pads. The RV park has been remodeled and the landscaping looks good, but you can put lipstick on a pig and it is still a pig. In January or 2021 we made reservations for our 40 foot class A motorhome and tow vehicle. We requested and paid for their largest pull through RV site. When we arrived we were given an RV site that was 48 feet by 21 feet. Their version of a large pull through site is 48’ by 21’. There was no room to park our tow vehicle. They told us we could park in the overflow parking lot which was about half a block away or we could park in the street in front of our motorhome. Almost everyone staying there, including the long term residents, park their vehicles on the street making it extremely difficult to maneuver any large RV’s through the park. If you decide you really need to stay at Premier RV Resort in Salem, Oregon, you should ask them to tell you the size of the pull through RV pad before you give them your credit card number. While staying there we had to tolerate flies and some sewer smells. I traced the problem to the lack of compliance with Oregon State codes that require “a positive seal at the sewer connection”. None of the sewer connections, including ours, had a positive seal. A rock on top of your sewer hose connection is NOT a positive seal. The Premier RV Resort in Salem, Oregon, is partially surrounded by active industrial facilities and they start work at 6am. We didn’t need our alarm clock. Another reason to stay at an RV park other than Premier RV Resort in Salem, Oregon, is the somewhat dangerous access to the RV park’s main entrance. You enter and exit the RV park on Oregon Highway 22 which has 4 live lanes of 55 mph traffic. There is no exit lane, so you will be slowing traffic in the right lane to make the turn into the RV park’s narrow access road. When you leave the RV park to drive into Salem, be prepared to accelerate your vehicle quickly to merge with the 55 mph traffic.

Really like this park. Pool, playground and some other areas closed due to Covid but laundry was very good and cleaned a couple of times a day. Did not use the bathroom or showers. The sites are pretty long but somewhat narrow especially for rigs with slides on opposing sides. Some sites have extra parking areas but most you have to park behind or in front of rig. The sewer connection was not threaded (not a huge deal but for as nice a park as this is, I would expect threaded to ensure no issues). The... Read More

The monthly rate is very reasonable. There is some noise from the highway and businesses (heavy equipment/dumping) in the area but tolerable.

We made reservations by phone to stay 21 nights. It was lucky to find a site for 3 weeks on short notice. When we saw the site, we felt very fortunate. But that quickly changed due to the high volume of people walking through the site on almost a daily basis at any time of the day or night. It clearly shows how rude and self centered our society is becoming that they don't respect other's personal space. The best description of this park is that is a trailer park for the nearby metropolitan... Read More

The best description of this park is that is a trailer park for the nearby metropolitan city due to the large number of what appears to be long term residents. There were several sites in violation of the park's written rules. The greatest challenges to this park is having to drive through the metropolitan city's downtown to reach the park if coming off the interstate and the dangers of turning into or out of the park from the busy 4 lane state highway with posted speed limit of 55 MPH. The interior roads are paved. There are vehicles parked along the roads encroaching on the travel lane making maneuvering larger RV's challenging. There is a mixture of back-ins and pull through sites. The park was built on a gentle slope and there was an attempt made to flatten & level the sites. This created some significant pitch changes from the road to the site parking pad. The parking pads are concrete. They have full hook ups - water, electricity (50/30/20 AMP), & sewer. The utility connections were spread out along the middle to rear of the sites. The sewer connection was at ground level making it easy to establish a downhill flow depending on discharge point. The P/T sites were long enough to say connected to a toad unless you connect to the utilities then you'll need a lot of hose/cable to reach the utility connections while remaining connected to your toad. Sites are pretty narrow and vegetation make it difficult to access storage bays when the slides are open. Sites have an outside table but no fire pits. Site orientation doesn't allow RV's to cast shade onto the patio side. Distance & grassy areas establish privacy between the sites. There are trees scattered throughout the park so satellite reception would be dependent upon your site and dish configuration. The park information listed about 41 cable channels but didn't mention anything about broadcast channels. Didn't try to get any broadcast channels. The park provided WiFi was adequate to check email and travel research. There were times when connectivity was slow or non-existent. It did require logging on and usage speed was monitored to stop downloads of large files or videos. Our Verizon WiFi hotspot and NET10 phone had good reception. There is one designated fenced pet area with a gravel surface and another unfenced designated pet area with a grass surface. There was a bag dispenser and collection station for waste at the fenced pet area. There was sufficient area to walk dogs along the park's roads. TIP: There are a few sites that are very difficult to get into due to the turn angle to get into the site and/or road pitch change resulting in scraping (#72 & 97). High water pressure warning. Several activities were scheduled: Breakfast on the weekends for $5.00 Dinner on Saturday night for $5.00 Ice Cream social & a couple of game nights. Wash: $1.50/load. Dry: $1.50/60 mins. Schwan's delivered to the park.

Pros are Park is clean, quiet, people are friendly. Park is geared more for adults so if you want to be in a park with older quieter persons this works. Cons are pet areas are very tiny, so no room to exercise pets, barely enough area to even pee. Pets have to wait their turn to do their business. No water is available for pets and ground is covered with pebbles which hurts pets feet so they are eager to leave the area. WiFi is sketchy at best, when u can get online, it drops out every couple of... Read More

Not much for kids to do either other than skateboarding down car lanes which is against park rules but kids do it anyway, cuz there's not much else for them to do. There are occasional whiffs of sewage, though don't know if that's the parks problem or that of guests who don't connect sewer lines properly.

My family and I booked a week at this campground at one of their beautiful tent camping sites and had such a good experience we extended our stay to just over two weeks. My family and I booked a week at this campground at one of their beautiful tent camping sites and had such a good experience we extended our stay to just over two weeks. We couldn't have been happier. The campground is stunning -- the RV sites are nice, many with their own patios and privacy shrubs the tent sites are magical -- secluded into a little nook of the surrounding forest where you can hear the river below and pick blackberries right on your site. There's even a hiking trail right on the property that takes you back into the woods and by the river! We loved it. The staff was really nice too. Several times they asked if we were staying warm enough and one employee even offered us a space heater if we needed it. The bathrooms seemed to get cleaned at least twice a day more often than not I'd find the shower freshly cleaned. The showers had large changing areas and the water temperature was consistent and hot (if you stay in a lot of campgrounds you know this is not always the case!). The tents have access to a nearby private bathroom & shower in the workout room/game room. That was nice to have close by, although I preferred the larger bathrooms farther away because they were cleaner. Oh! And I almost forgot - the tent sites have access to a small hut with a microwave and two sinks that's open 24 hours. I know it's not exactly traditional to microwave a burrito for dinner while tent camping, but if you're on a longer trip sometimes it's nice not to have to drag out the camp stove and make a meal and clean up. Finally, when we booked our site originally we were on the fence because they didn't have electricity right at the site. We're traveling with our toddler who won't sleep under covers, so we need to run a heater at night since it's October and the temps got into the high 30s & low 40s at night. The staff said we could run a 100' extension cord to the building with the microwave where there's an outlet, so we used that with no problems at all. We later stayed at a different campground where the same request was not met with such kindness or understanding, so in hindsight we appreciate their accommodating our needs at Premier in Salem even more. We would totally stay here again and highly recommend it. In our experience it was very kid- and family-friendly. Oh, and we had our dog (Pomeranian) with us as well and felt the camp was very pet-friendly, too.

Very difficult to find on my map/a fair distance off the freeway. Almost missed the sign at the entrance....small sign, busy, busy highway Almost dangerous entrance/exit to highway for large rvs.... Narrow spaces/some short pull throughs....My tv cable was faulty

Some sites are not long enough so vehicles are parked in the street which make the park difficult to navigate in a big rig.

The park was beautiful and quiet. They even had a dog wash - free. We had to take advantage of it since this was the first park we have seen with an actual dog wash.

Bathrooms were open bay with 4 sinks, 4 toilets, 2 urinal, 6 showers. Pull in wide sites with concrete pads. Water, elect, and sewer connections were very good. Great reception area, laundry room, day room was in great shape. Pool was in great condition. Staff was courteous, friendly, and knowledgeable. Park was in excellent shape. It is within driving distance to stores and restaurants.
