Lewis and Clark Golf and RV Resort in Astoria is the 69th stop for us and we stayed 7 nights. If using RV life GPS, would discourage using the Lewis and Clark Road as it is full of 25 mph curves. A relatively small park with few amenities (enclosed dog park would be nice), the sites are level, it is very nicely maintained, hook ups are decently located and you can have a pull in site with excellent views of the golf course. The host at check in had a great sense of humor which I appreciated after... Read More

The host at check in had a great sense of humor which I appreciated after the long drive. One interesting thing if you are a dog owner, there is really no areas to walk your dog other than the designated area – this was on the materials when you arrived (we were told not to walk our dog in another area because it will upset other dogs and people will complain). All well and good if you don’t like/need to walk your dog but when it rains, the dog area becomes a muddy slog. For connectivity, WiFi was good enough with basic email and social media but struggled with those functions as well as streaming in the evening. Morning connectivity: WiFi 1.5 down/0.1 up Verizon 59.8 up/4.6 down T-Mobile 60.8 up/25.1 up. All in all, a good park – not a resort.

Upon our arrival we found the Resort had double booked our site due to someone wanting to extend their stay. After a very short discussion among themselves, the owners put us in their best site for our week stay. What an upgrade! That said, where we would have been booked into would have been just fine. The park is beautifully laid out and impeccably cared for. Many sites face into the golf course, and a good amount are also set up as Buddy sites, with patios that can potentially face each other.... No problem if you don't know the people next door as there is also a lot of room between the rig and the course to sit and enjoy. There are amazing amounts of grass common areas. We saw plenty of birds and deer from our patio and our walks on the golf course in the evenings. Utilities are set up well, with very good water pressure and no problems with electric. There is no cable but we did pick up OTA no problem. Location of the park is great, just minutes from downtown Astoria and the Columbia riverfront, and there is plenty of shopping, with Walmart-Costco-Home Depot just over 4 miles away in Warrenton. There is a food cart with in walking distance that is supposed to be very good but we didn't get a chance to try it out.

We had a very good stay at Lewis and Clark - the 4 ratings are not due to any problems, but because, honestly, some places happen to be nicer. The park is very clean and well kept. The restrooms are very clean. The spaces are not overly crowded. The staff was available and helpful. The park includes a lot of open grassy space, where you can walk your dog, but please there is a specific area to relieve a dog - they are very specific that dogs must only use that space, and that dogs who bark... The RV spaces mostly are around the center green space, though a few are at the end. There is a stream at one end, with ducks and other wildlife. The setting is among farm land and a bit of industrial, not high buildings. There is not really anywhere to walk, as you would be along the road (tried it), but Astoria and the Columbia are a very short drive away. The golf course is low key and pleasant. I would definitely stay here again.

Very nice hidden gem to those who do not know about this RV Park. Complete with a golf course if you are interested in that. Beautifully maintained and operated by a wonderful couple who had a vision for their RV Park. Quiet. Near Astoria. Well maintained. You'll leave relaxed.
