What a gem of a spot! It's smack dab in the middle of a D.C. suburb in Maryland AND it's 8 miles from the metro station AND...wait for it...it was $13/night!!!! (Senior citizen discount for the win! ????????????????). The normal non-discounted price is $23/night, which is still crazy good! I wasn't able to find anything under$60/night before this place. It's first come first serve, there are 23 spaces and, according to the park office, it is never full. We are currently 1 of 4 campers. It's a great base camp for D.C. exploration. There are bathrooms and showers. They look like any other state park I've ever stayed in.
