star rating is based on what one would expect of a KOA or mid to lower end park. Easy access off I-10. Easy in and out. I was unaware of the larger/newer section in the back - we have stayed here 3 times in the older front section and had a view of the lake. Friendly check-in, easy access to the sites and all services worked well. Would stay here again.
The takeaway: An older KOA that has been fairly well maintained offering a large swimming pool, fishing on their lake, recreational facilities, and water toys. The new section is obviously to be booked, especially for big rigs, for a pleasant and upgraded experience. As mentioned this is a fall back location to staying in Breaux Bridge (Cajun Palms RV Resort) and would also work as a stopover along the I10 corridor. The new section boasts wide concrete streets and pads with ample space between neighbors.... Read More

$50 Site 315 Convenient location off I-10, this park has an older section in the front with tight wooded/shaded sites seemingly used by longer termed residents. Very new section in the back with large concrete pull-thru sites and wide grassy areas between. Park surrounds a stocked fishing lake and near to several Cajun diners.
Big Rig friendly if you ask for a site in the new section in the rear. Was apprehensive as we drove up. Campground looked very tired/worn. Long narrow road to get to new section, but comfortable once in the site.
Nice place. Spaces are dated some are small, some will not accommodate rigs with slides. Make sure to call before you book, if you have a big or oversized rig. Overall a nice place with good fishing and lots to do. Don't forget to try the Boudin from Billy's up front!!!
We rested on a very nice lake.. Staff was very friendly... Actually talked us into getting the KOA membership... Was a bit surprised to hear that members had to pay for mini golf and paddle boats as we had stayed at others as non members and they were free... You would think the KOA would be more uniformed.... Think it was a bit over priced personally...Laundry facility was nice.. Be sure to ask for a space for a sat. dish if you have one, we did thank god but plenty of others had their in other... Internet was not the best - came in and out.. Sites were level and spacious... The stay was nice , close to fast food and interstate - Really enjoyed the wildlife...
