We stayed a week at this well maintained and accommodating park. The sites were level and pull through with water, electric, sewer, and cable tv. A plus was the nice size dog park which allowed our pup to expend energy after travels. Another nicety was close proximity to eateries, especially Bucky Bee's BBQ, and the walking path to access them. We would gladly stay here again.

Can't say enough nice things about this park. Super clean and neat. Staff super friendly and helpful. Made a mistake on the reservation and there was no problem making the changes. When checking in mentioned to the staff that I had not seen a listing for the Good Sams discount and she said no problem and in fact they were going to owe us a $5 refund. I say don't worry about it and she said already have issued the refund to your card. Now that is what I call service. Park is just off the interstate... Read More

Can ask for a nicer place to stay. We were there just one night, but they have a lot of things to do in the park.

The campground is easy to get to. Exit the interstate, take the second left and then a right, you are there. Very little road noise. The train moving through however, is a little startling if you didn't know there was a train track a 1/4 mile away. Super friendly staff. Quick and easy check-in. Escorted to our site and they even made sure the breakers were off and they unscrewed the sewer camp for us. Hug dog park for the fur babies to run in. Super friendly people. Sights are level and well maintained and no tree limb issues to deal with. Decent space between rigs as well Very convenient and easy short drive to Mammoth Cave NP. Would absolutely stay here again and will recommend to anyone traveling in this area.

One of the nicest campgrounds I've ever stayed at in Kentucky. The office personnel were very friendly and helpful. The sites were nicely spaced and the hookups were conveniently located. My only negative comment would be about the road to the campgrounds. It was very narrow. I would stay there again.

Fantastic enjoyable stay. great hosts. Both very friendly and great to talk to. Landscaping is beautiful. It's clear they put a lot of time & effort into keeping the grounds manicured. Big rig ready. All spots long pull thru spots with full hookups. Tucked away in a quiet spot yet easy access. We highly recommend.

Easy access from the highway, easy to maneuver in the park, this is a beautifully managed and a maintained campground, with a lot of garden-like landscaping. Our site, 49 was plenty long and we were not on top of neighbors. Utilities were good, wifi was great, so, as full-timers we caught up on much here. The pool was heated perfectly for water aerobics and had a comfortable surface for exercising. Laundry and pool shower/restroom was next to pool, both very clean and handy. Showers were home quality and spotless. They had a nice pool table, exercise equipment, and a living-room quality lounge. Large, very grassy dog park. Everything here was just exceptional. We camped at Cave Country RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel. Perfect launch area for Mammoth Cave National Park, and the many show caves in the area. We also visited Crystal-Onyx because it was the highest rated private show cave--it was beautiful. Our tour group had 5 folks, so we were able to see more, ask a lot of questions, and get a lot more info than on NPS tours. We also did a NPS tour in Mammoth Cave, which is awesomely huge. Note the NPS tours sell out so buy yours in advance, online. We had the best smoked turkey in our lives at Bucky Bees, just down the road from the RV park. We definitely would return.

Campers, I regret having to write this negative review on Cave Country RV Campground in Cave City, KY, but it is warranted because what happened affected my entire family. Campers, I regret having to write this negative review on Cave Country RV Campground in Cave City, KY, but it is warranted because what happened affected my entire family. It was Labor Day weekend when my daughter and our grandgirls were camping with us. We had three other families in their units camping around us and had a fun and relaxing weekend together. We have stayed at this campground on several occasions over the years and never had an issue until now. On the last day of our visit, as we are attaching our tow vehicle to the RV, a woman drives quickly through the grass on a golf cart and forcefully says, “I’m really upset with your daughter for parking on the grass! The rules clearly state, “Do not park on our grass!“ At first I was unclear about what she was accusing her of because my daughter's car had been parked on another friend's site the entire weekend. After listening further and trying to understand why she had so much energy coming at us I began to understand. My daughter had loaded her suitcase and the girls into their car in front of our RV. This employee exclaimed in an extremely disrespectful tone that she watched my daughter drive away from our campsite through the grass. Now, feeling badly and disappointed in my daughter’s poor choice, I gave a sincere apology on her behalf and told her I would talk with my daughter regarding this issue. She then tells us that she already spoke to our daughter and continued to scold my husband and I. She stated in a very angry tone, “If there is damage to the grass this will be charged to your credit card!“ Her continued discourse went past a friendly reminder, caution and/or a stern warning. The continued lecture quickly turned into bullying. I’m not sure if you want to stay here or not, while we take responsibility that our daughter was in the wrong, it was overwhelmingly obvious that relationships and customer service take a backseat to mistakes, a poor choice and the conditions of their grass. After all, we did nothing wrong, but were reprimanded profusely beyond caution or a warning. I have a picture where the grass laid over from my daughter’s tire tracks. I also have a picture where the grass laid over because she drove down the length of our 40 foot RV in her golf cart to scold us. They look the same other than the width of the tire and the length of the tracks. Also, I need to let you know we’ve been around the block a few times in the last 35 years of camping. I have seen sod jobs where an RV drops off the road and into the grass, but this was not the case here. By the way, it also states in the rules (#18 to be exact) “Please tell others about your stay here at Cave Country RV Campground by commenting on mobilerving, goodsams, rvparkreviews, etc.” So, we’re just trying to follow their rules so you can decide for yourself if you would like to stay here or not, but should you choose to stay heed the warning, “Stay off the grass!”

What a pleasant surprise to see this gym. Plenty of room between sites, Flat pads, friendly staff and clean clean clean. Would absolutely stay here again. Very easy to get in, very easy to exit in close proximity to the interstate makes this the perfect transient place. Also has a pool and other amenities which makes it a great place to stay long term if you were visiting Cave country. Will definitely be back

Cannot say enough good things about this park. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The park itself was very clean and well maintained. Beautiful landscaping. Plenty of room for larger rigs. We were there Labor Day week end with our children. The only thing missing was a pool. The owners told us they are in the process of putting a pool in. The only thing i would recommend is maybe a play area for children other than that this Campground is Top Notch!!

Within walking distance from the campground is a McDonald's, Cracker Barrel, KFC and a few other restaurants. There was also a game place for kids (it wasn't open yet when we were there) as well as a go-cart place (not open yet either, I'm sure due to the time of year). Mammoth Cave and other attractions are just a short drive away. We will definitely keep this campground in mind when we travel in the future!

We enjoyed the convenience of this campground to both Mammoth Caves and to the highway. The sites were open and easy to get in and out of. While tucked in off the main drag, the campground was clean and quiet. It poured the entire length of our stay, so we did not use the facilities as much as we have elsewhere, but we would not hesitate to recommend Cave City Campground or to stay here again while in the area.

We arrived after office closed at 6:00 and late check-in was easy, also firewood was right there for $4.00. Fire ring was stone, so we were able to cook out hot dogs and smores. CG was far enough from I-65, could barely hear sound from it. There is a railroad line nearby, but it didn't bother us as we live in an approach path for Nashville, TN airport and are used to jets flying over. Everything is close by, restaurants, attractions. Mammoth Cave is about 20 minutes west. One thing I didn't know until check-in: Check-out is 11:00 AM, but additional time can be purchased at $3.00/hour. Since we planned to stay until 4:00 PM Saturday, that would have $15.00 instead of booking for a second night for $40.00. If we return to Mammoth Cave area, we will definitely stay here again.

Lengthy list of rules to follow at the campground; but in my opinion, this is the reason everything is so nice. Lots of manicured green space with many beautiful plants and flowers. Pet friendly with lots of places to walk them, including an enclosed dog park. I could go on and on, but you get the point. In the upper echelon of parks I have been to over my many years of RVing.

We arrived an hour later without hearing back from the campground. No one was around to assist us so we looked at our sites and saw they were not occupied. Proceeded to set up, with electric, water and sewer. We went to the store and waited along with 4 other people to get in the store when they opened at 10AM. Once it was our turn to check in the woman waiting on us told us that we had different sites and there was no way we could have been told our site #'s. So we debated the facts we had and was told to move our rigs and that she couldn't have sites together. So much for a 5 month in advance reservation to ensure sites together ! In discussion with her she stated that our reservation was made before she was made before she even worked there. She also stated that they reserve he right to move people's reservations but refused to accommodate us by moving others in system! Customer service was very poor to say the least! She stated that she has had enough of me for the day and asked me to leave.

I loved it here. Extended an extra night. $35 per night included cable, WiFi, 3 hot private shower stalls, 3 toilet stalls for women & a clean laundry room $1.50 per machine or dryer. Beautifully manicured grounds and plantings; this is a relatively new park with young trees so not very private sites yet. The facilities buildings are new, fresh with molding finishes & automatic lighting. Restrooms are closed for cleaning from 11-12noon everyday.

If you like to walk, there is a track about 1/4 mile away and lots of trails at the park. There was a problem with the WIFI when we first got there and took about 10 days to get fixed. Once it was fixed, it worked pretty well. The closest Walmart is in Glasgow, about 8 miles away. We enjoyed our stay and will use the park again since we have family in the area.

This was an excellent campground. Retired railroader and lived near trains all our lives so they did not bother us. We were at the upper end away from the tracks. Facility was in excellent condition, exceptionally clean and well deserving of its rating. Owners were extremely helpful and accommodating for all our questions. We would stay here again

DO NOT GO TO THIS CAMPGROUND IF YOU WANT TO SLEEP!!!! There is a railroad track IMMEDIATELY next to the grounds. Several (5 to 8) trains went by during the night and all blew their whistles. Everything else, however, was positive. I just can't see why someone would build a campground next to railroad track.

We stayed 3 nights to see the area. The park has easy access to & from Interstate 66 (Exit 53). It is located in town but town didn't offer a lot of services considering the attractions in the area. But there are some larger retailers located in Glasgow which is a short drive along a good state highway. The only negative was the railroad tracks located on the West side of the park. They were close enough to disrupt sleep and were very active at all hours. This was one of the better parks... Read More

They were close enough to disrupt sleep and were very active at all hours. This was one of the better parks we came across during our travels in OH, PA, MD, IN, & NJ. The park was well cared for and landscaped. It offered online reservations. The interior roads and site parking pads are gravel. This park understands the simple concept of the importance of a flat, level parking pad! All of the sites appeared generally level. Privacy between the sites is established by distance. The sites had sufficient space so you didn't feel that you were on top of your neighbor. The pull through sites were long enough for coaches and their toads attached. They have full hook ups - water, electricity (50 AMP), & sewer. The utility connections were towards the middle of the sites. There was an outside table. Fire pits were shared between sites. There was an escort to your site. Surprisingly, the ground drained very well as there wasn't much standing water after a day of rain. There were very few trees to obstruct satellite reception. There was an adequate choice of cable channels. Didn't try to get any broadcast channels. The provided WiFi was adequate. Our NET10 phone reception was acceptable. There was a nice designated fenced pet area of sufficient size for both large & small dogs. There was sufficient area to walk dogs along the park roads. There were bag dispensers and cans to collect waste. For being in a hazardous/severe weather area, there was no underground storm shelter. No structure was identified as a severe weather shelter. Would stay here again if we returned to visit the area attractions.

A very nice very clean and very well laid out campground with easy access from the interstate and close to Mammoth Cave National Park. Campground was spotless and staff was extremely helpful. We had a pet emergency and they could not have been more supportive in making sure we got to a good vet for care. They have a very nice clubhouse and we would definitely stay there again.

Cave Country RV is a first class operation. The staff are extremely friendly. The bathrooms impeccable. All the sites were pull through and level. A staff member escorted us to our site. Would most certainly stay again.

Very nice park. Easy access from I65. All sites are pull through with a lot of room between sites. Internet was good, something most parks are lacking in. Streets are gravel but that is not a problem as they are well maintained. I did not use the bathrooms so I can't comment on them but if they are in as good shape as everything else, I would say they would be great. I stayed there on the way to Nashville and then again on the trip home. I wish all parks are this nice.

Great location with easy access to Mammoth Caves and all the other parks in area. Clean and well maintained. They even allow you to pay for a day when you wash your rig in the park. Nice benefit.

Easy in and out but follow the Good Sam instructions. GPS has you make tight turns. Great pull through site with full hookups. The cable TV and WiFi a bonus and included with the cost. Plenty of Photo ops around, so bring your camera. Staff and owner very friendly and courteous, very knowledgeable of area to advise where to go and what to see. Very close to attractions for all ages. Will definitely will stay again.

We stayed two nights at this park, so we could finally visit Mammoth Cave National Park. We found the park well maintained with friendly park hosts. Our cocker enjoyed the dog park where she could run off leash. The pull through sites are gravel, but well maintained. We would stay here again.

Great campground. All site are pull-thrus. Easy in and out. Pet friendly. We used the Dog Park quite often. Restrooms and sites are very clean. Friendly staff. A lot of cave tours and antique shops in the area. Within walking distance of Cracker Barrel.

The campground is set up very nice with plenty of room.... Read More
