If you like staying at a place where the managers are rude and always driving around on the prowl to find people doing things they don’t like, Then this is your place. We have always taught our kids to be respectful to everyone but with these people it’s definitely hard. We love to camp and have done so for many years and this was the first place that I felt like the people running the campgrounds just don’t like people. Most places the owners are pleasant and friendly here they are just downright rude.

I do not recommend Deer Ridge if there is a possibility you will be late. I called early in the day to advise of late arrival and asked where the map to my site would be stored. They had no protocol for late arrival (we don’t do that here). Road construction and detours made us even later and Management called and ask that I let them know if I was not coming (??). When checking in I stated we would use their facilities to shower the response was ‘make sure you clean up after yourselves’. I’m sure it won’t be the last time we arrive late to a campground but definitely won’t happen again at Deer Ridge..

This park is not too far off the beaten path but it's nestled back in the woods . We were only stayed for one night. Just passing through and they had a pull through and a great spot . The owners of the park we're very friendly and helpful . Very clean facility had a lot of amenities for families . Looks like a fun place for family and gatherings lots of trees for shade . They have no cable but they do offer Wi-Fi . Very enjoyable stay and they offer 15% off military discount which my husband was thrilled being a veteran.

Nice, quiet park with things for kids to do. Owner friendly. Easy to find and within a couple of miles of a large assortment of shopping or dining choices.

Facilities were clean. However, the Management was overbearing. We were instructed not to use the water hydrant due to it being hard on the well. Our children were instructed not to splash water out of the pool or use their pool noodles in the pool. As soon as our relatives pulled in for a 5 minute visit to see our new camper the Management came over and forced them to pay $5 for a 2 hour pass. We felt this was a nice clean facility but felt our children were unwelcome. We felt that the Management catered to older retired age adults. We also witnessed the Management scream at drivers who they deemed were driving "too fast". The campground is close to the interstate but the noise from the traffic was not overly distracting.

We had no plans to stay here, but started having some problems with our tow vehicle, so popped in. It was very early in the season, so not much going on in the park, but it looks like it would be a great place to stay during the season as well when everything is opened up. My husband was able to do some work on our truck at our site (nothing major or involving fluids). Later in the evening the manager stopped by and told my husband that he was welcome to pull the truck up under the pavilion the next day if needed and also referred us to a local shop if we needed additional work done. We felt this was very nice of them and certainly wasn't expected. As far as the park itself, we didn't go into the restrooms or other facilities as we are self contained, so I can't comment on that. We were in a full hook up pull thru site. It isn't super level, gravel/grass, but we didn't have a problem leveling with a couple of added boards under our front levelers. FYI There is wifi in the office area only and there is no cable. That is fine with us, we did pick up several channels with our digital antenna. They have some very cool carvings on stumps of trees that were cut down. Based on the RV's here without people staying in them I would assume they have several seasonal sites, but likely have plenty for weekenders or people passing thru. If you have children, I'm sure they would have a great time with the pool, playground and other amenities. The park is quiet from road noise and was easy enough for us to navigate. We have a 40' - 5th wheel and full time RV. I would stay here again.
