Not bad at all! Typical parking lot, asphalt and stone, level and clean. A few shade trees, grassy area for grilling and pets. Nothing much beyond that, the casino is the draw. No one on site, occasional security drive-by. Can use hotel amenities, but it’s a hike to that. They offer shuttle to casino, but it’s an easy walk. Pricey for what you get, FHU, good WiFi, cable doesn’t work but there’s plenty of air stations. WiFi will support our Spectrum and Netflix. No way to put GS discount when you... Read More

No way to put GS discount when you reserve online (only way to get a spot) but they’ve promised a refund for the discount. Gated, need code to get in which they sent right away. Most convenient to downtown, good view of the Arch from here. Will check out casino restaurant tonight, food court is minimal.

One of the worst campground/RV parks I have been to! The sites are all asphalt BUT they are all uneven. Every camper had blocks under one side of their camper. The bathrooms at the RV park are dingy and dirty. No soap at the sinks. The showers were dirty. The cost with the Good Sam discount was $65 a night. This is a very expensive RV park with no real amenities. There is a building when you pull in and what looks like it use to be the office. There is no one there now. We did not see anyone... Definitely will never stay here again!

The park had a great view of the gateway arch. Especially on the 4th of July with the fireworks. The neighborhood is not great, but the park is gated and security is driving around frequently. All sites are pull-thru. Water pressure is about 38 psi and sewerage connection was easy. We did lose power when the A/C and microwave were on at the same time at the hottest part of the day. 101 degrees. At night it wasnt a problem. Laundry is $3 per machine and they are small machines. There are freight trains that pass frequently, so you may hear them inside your RV. We heard them all the time, especially at night. But I still recommend this place if you are interested in visiting the gateway arch.

This place needs some adult supervision. The decline of this RV park over the past 4 years has been easily preventable. This place needs some adult supervision. The decline of this RV park over the past 4 years has been easily preventable. We have stayed at this park at least twice per year for over 5 years and we think this park has finally deteriorated to the point we will not return. The single thing going for this park is it's location proximal to St. Louis and the metro east area. More accurately, though, it should be called an RV ParkING LOT (with full hookups). There are several pseudo full time occupants who completely ignore any normal RV park manners leaking sewer hoses, trash dumped NEAR the dumpsters, barking dogs left in RV all day, no leashes on multiple dogs, freeform parking, and not cleaning up after dogs. SERIOUSLY, WATCH WHERE YOU STEP AROUND THIS PARK AS YOU"LL LIKELY STEP IN DOG C**P. All this could easily be remedied by staffing the office with someone to monitor/babysit the less responsible RVers who cannot be bothered with leashing their pets or cleaning up after themselves. (The pile of tires sitting outside the fifth wheel next to us might not be allowed if there was a manager to enforce some simple guidelines). Interestingly, prior to the influx of the semi permanent residents, the park did not have these problems most transient RVers had the common sense to respect other campers. Sadly, I doubt anything will improve. The corp running this place will likely sell out after running it into the ground. .

Nice enough for an overnight. Thought it would be cool to be able to see the Arch in the distance during our quick stay. If stopping here to hit a ballgame, see some local attractions, or do the casino thing (for those so inclined), the location would probably be a bonus. Was easy to get to with plenty of signs to lead the way. Make sure you have your entry code available from the confirmation email to get in. Was easy to get to with plenty of signs to lead the way. Make sure you have your entry code available from the confirmation email to get in. We did, but saw another RVer have to sit at the gate for a bit while they tried to find theirs. Sites are level and pull through. Because of asphalt pads, requirement is to put down blocks to use leveling/stabilizing. While not THAT big of a deal, the sewer hook up is just a wide, unthreaded, PVC pipe that for most would need a rubber doughnut shoved tightly in or a weight of some kind placed over the fitting kinda archaic for a park of in this price range. The park sits right next to a busy railroad track just on the other side of a row of trees. I love the sound of a train, but the proximity was a bit noisy. I think the draw is the casino and not a simple relaxing stay. We wouldn't want to stay any longer than we did and wouldn't stay again. In summary, this RV park is a a plain, nothing special, park.

A negative i thought was the lack of personal connection. You call to make a reservation(could be more personable), you call when you get here to get the code to get in. The office is situated in the casino 1/2 mile away. SECURITY does drive around the RV Park every hour. This RV Park is perfect for visiting St Louis in all it has to offer. PS - great view of the St Louis arch from the RV Park.

Traveling full-time in a 42-foot coach we have stayed in over 400 RV Parks, we stayed here for two-nights during August 2019. (1) Dust, some parks are so dusty that even after just a couple nights your unit needs a bath, this place has no dust because it is all paved or gravel. (3) Level pads, big coaches need paved or thick gravel pads that are level. We give this park a 5-star rating for having level paved sites. (3) Level pads, big coaches need paved or thick gravel pads that are level. We give this park a 5-star rating for having level paved sites. Sites were of average size and space, definitely not over-sized. (3) We live in the age of WIFI technology and there is nothing to stop any RV Park across this country from investing in doing WIFI properly. For some users such as ourselves, WIFI is an important feature and was one of the reasons for our stay here. We were told both by email and phone that each site had a good wifi signal. The wifi in and around our site was just about non-existent. We were in direct sight of two wifi towers, but still couldn't get a decent connection, even at 5:00 am. Other guests we spoke with also had the same non-existent wifi experience. We know enough not to count on a good signal over the weekends, but during the weekday there is no excuse. We even have the WIFI-Ranger on our roof with a direct-line-of-sight to their wifi source. There were no trees in the line-of-sight, and the distance was not a factor. This park receives 0-stars for their non-existent WIFI. (4) Maneuverability, some parks have very narrow roads which make backing up and turning very difficult, we found this park to have plenty of room to maneuver. (5) Satellite, as you know satellite reception is very hard to receive when you have large trees. If you stay away from the sites with the tall trees to the south you should receive reception here. (6) Phone Service, we have AT&T which worked great here. (7) Dog play and potty, plenty of room to walk your dog in the grassy areas around the exterior of the park. No off-leash fenced dog area.

That said, it has a BEAUTIFUL view of the arch. Nice gazebos for picnics. Playground for the kiddies. Wifi worked great, but had to call the main phone number to get the code. Security is visible as they make regular circles through the park. Cons. Be careful as you navigate the last few minutes, as being in the correct lane is imperative. Turns were all manageable, and I'm still in my rookie season. Its noisy (but you are in a big metropolis, so kind of to be expected). Train sounds predominate. Didn't bother us, but some might be more easily disturbed. There's a cable hook up, but it doesn't have cable service... obviously once did. My sewer hookup was not threaded, so I spent several minutes making sure the hookups were balanced over the pipe. Note that it is all self service, Keep your email correspondence handy. It will be the only way to know where your site is, and you have to have the gate code for everything... rest rooms, etc. Will stay here again. The good outweighs the bad.

The noise factor makes the high price ($48) not worth it. Surrounded by freight trains, elevated public rail transportation and highways. Freight locomotives sound like jets taking off. No need for a code at the gate - wide open. Nothing in the "vending area", other than a phone for calling security to take you to the casino (which could... Read More

So many vacant spots that if the one you picked when reserving on-line did not fit, you could easily move yourself to another. My 24' TT and car just fit a 38' site thanks to long hose and electric cord but the sewer is too far away. One bright spot is that the public rail transportation (above) takes you to the Gateway Arch NP ($2.50 one way). All other comments in previous posts describing site were accurate.

It is advertised as having a mini-mart but mini is the key word here - the refrigerator/freezer was practically empty. There is interstate and train noise but didn't bother us. Check-out the next morning seemed to take longer than one would expect - lots of stuff had to be entered in the computer, etc. We would definitely stay there again.

There was a wooden fenced concrete slab and someone had left a bag of garbage there, so that appeared to be the process, but it wasn't clear. In their defense, I didn't ask. Nice views of the St Louis arch from the park which is a bonus. We would certainly stay here again.

The bathrooms are small and in need of upkeep and were not cleaned the two stays of our stay. No soap or paper towels are provided. There is no one on site before 9:00 am and after 4:00 pm, for security reasons which was stated by the employee that checked us in. However, the Gateway Arch is visible from the park. We will never stay at this park again. On a separate note, we have found that Good Sam ratings are very inaccurate. I recommend Good Sam begin verifying their ratings. This isn't the first park we have visited that was very overrated. It's a shame that we pay membership fees for very inaccurate information. The discounts are nice but not worth it the park is bad.

We stayed 3 nights to see some attractions in the area due to the park's proximity to downtown St Louis. The park is an interesting drive from I-70/55/64 (Exit 2B: 3RD ST) through a commercial district along a paved roads that had seen better days. The casino grounds were undergoing some construction so it was a rough ride. Plus there were significant dips near the office which could cause damage from impacting the pavement. There were a lot of scrape marks in the pavement on both the entrance and exit sides. There was a main train track along one side of the park. Freight trains were very active along the route causing noticeable noise in the early morning hours. All of the sites are pull throughs. The interior roads and sites are paved. There were two different areas of the park. One that was older with smaller sites and a tree canopy. The other was newer, more open, with larger parking pads and no trees. We stayed in the newer section so the information about the sites is about the newer section. The park was built on a slope. There appeared to be no effort to tier any of the sites so only a handful are anywhere near level. The remainder have a bi-directional pitch that in some cases is extreme causing some motor homes to have their axles suspended in the air. The P/T sites were long enough but the location of the utility connections at the rear of the site caused us to park the towed vehicle in the front in order to reach the connections. They have full hook ups - water, electricity (50/30 AMP), & sewer. The sewer connection was at the ground so it was easy to establish a downhill flow. Sites had sufficient room for opening slides. Distance and gravel areas establish privacy between the sites. No outside table or fire pits. In the newer section, there were no obstructions to the sky so satellite reception was good. Cable channel lineup showed 15 channels. The park provided WiFi was poor. It was password protected. Our Verizon WiFi hotspot worked well. Didn't try the NET10 phone so don't know about cell phone reception. There was no designated fenced pet area but there was a narrow grassy border along the edge of the park and along the park's roads to exercise a dog. There were no bag dispensers or collection stations for waste anywhere in the park but there were some dumpsters scattered around the park. For being in a hazardous/severe weather area, didn't see an underground storm shelter or any structure identified as a severe weather shelter. We would probably stay here again if visiting the area but only if one of the level sites was available. TIP: For being a casino park, this one was disappointing. In the newer section, the sites at the ends of each row (501 - 506, 521, 522, 601, 602, 604, 618 & 619) are generally the levelist. It's an easy ride on the mass transit train into downtown St Louis. The station is near the casino. The hardest part is getting from the park to the station (casino security provides rides) and from the street level to the track level. There was an elevator but when it is being serviced, the climb is about 3 stories.

Very convenient and close to St Louis downtown and other attractions in the area. The park is not what many would expect a RV park to be, but as said it is very convenient to everything in the city. The Casino dining was OK, but only ond restaurant open in the evening somewhat disappointing. Laundry very expensive make sure you have a lot of coins. We will however stay here again should we journey that way.

The location was good for what we wanted, it was hard to find. Tried to eat at the Casino one night, the only thing open was the bar and they had little to choose from.

Campground for larger class As is a glorified parking lot. Hookups set to far back in the parking space so you have to unhook your tow vehicle or have an extension cord, additional water hose and additional sewer hose. Sites, although paved, are not level. Had to use a block to level up properly. The good sites with lawn are not long enough for anything greater than about 32 feet. The cost $49 with GS discount is way out of range for what is offered. Only real positive is the train into St Louis... Read More

I don't know why this RV park is rated so highly on Good Sams. The ONLY thing good about it is the proximity to St. Louis and a nice view of the Arch. It is literally a blacktop parking lot with gravel between the "sites." Although the website shows grass and trees, there are NO trees on the south side (where big rigs are parked) and the grass has been replaced by gravel. The only grass is around the perimeter. There are a few picnic tables on a small common area. I would never have booked... Read More

Never again.

When visiting downtown St. Louis, this is the place to stay. The park is divided into 2 sections: north and south, with a convenience store/office in between. The south pull-through sites for the larger RVs are close together, separated by gravel areas. The parking surfaces (level and wide) and roads are asphalt, but with no grass or trees. The north sites for smaller RV's do have some grass and small trees. The photos on the website are probably older and do not represent the park today.... Read More

The north sites for smaller RV's do have some grass and small trees. The photos on the website are probably older and do not represent the park today. There is a small playground for children and a few pavilions each with a BBQ grill located between the north and south sides. There are no picnic tables, fire-rings or grills at each site, so it is not what you might think of as a typical "campground". This RV park absolutely cannot be beat for visiting St. Louis. The office staff is very helpful and accommodating. The RV park store is a typical convenience store. The laundry is expensive ($3.00 for a wash and dry), and the showers appear small, but clean. The doors are secured by a card-operated lock. You are issued a card upon check-in. We did not use these facilities, but they appeared to be adequate. I understand that RV park guests are allowed to use the pool and exercise room at the Casino Queen Hotel nearby, but we did not use these either. We stayed here to see a few Cardinals games and do site-seeing in the city. There could not possibly be a better location. Security would pick us up and take us to the nearby MetroLink train at the edge of the casino property. When we returned, a call would bring them within minutes and they would take us back to the doorstep of our RV (this is a free service). Security also patrolled the park throughout the night. A $27 MetroLink pass let us use the metro as often as we wanted for a week. There are trains nearby, running day and night, and they are noisy, but we were so tired from all the fun we had, we had no trouble sleeping. The utilities on the south RV sites were at the very rear of the site. I did find this a bit unusual, but no problem for electric, water and cable. However, it did require about 25 feet of sewer hose for our motorcoach. All utilities worked well. The park was surrounded by a 20' + grass strip and fence, which worked well as a dog walk. There was a shopping center about 15 minutes away in Collinsville, IL, a short, safe drive. While East St. Louis is known to be very dangerous, we NEVER felt threatened at all. For the utilities, amenities available, and location, I believe this is a fair value. We received a Good Sam discount and an even larger discount for staying for 7 days. We will certainly stay at the Casino Queen RV park on our next visit to St. Louis.

The photos on the website don't quite do the park justice. Instead of the carefully manicured grass between sites, the park features gravel, accentuating the aspect of just being a big parking lot. The arch is visible from the park, but is partially obscured by a large hill. Most frustrating was the late check in; we were told to go ahead and pick an empty space (convenient), but upon check in the next morning, were told we'd need to move our RV (inconvenient). Most frustrating was the late check in; we were told to go ahead and pick an empty space (convenient), but upon check in the next morning, were told we'd need to move our RV (inconvenient). The location also backs up to train tracks which are used regularly; including at night. The park was clean and staff were pleasant. We appreciated the convenience to locations we wanted to visit in St. Louis, but we would opt for a different park next time we stay in the St. Louis area, even if it were a little less convenient.

We have stayed at this park at least twice per year for over 5 years and we think this park has finally deteriorated to the point we will not return. The corp running this place will likely sell out after running it into the ground. .
