Bay Bayou was a stop over on our way to Fort Myers Beach to visit family. For this reason we were only there for 3 nights. I wish that we could have stayed longer. We have had varying experiences in RV parks as we have made our way from Oregon. Bay Bayou was our all time favorite. The setting was lovely and the pool, laundry and restroom facilities were top notch. I highly recommend this park. I know that we will plan for a longer stay the next time we are headed to Florida.

Nice place and some nice people. Maintenance guys work hard and are really accommodating. Also some people who have nothing better to do than complain to some lousy leadership. Very selective on rules enforcement and limited options. We had residents accuse us of letting our dogs off the leash and were asked to leave. They we not off leash but it didn’t matter, someone’s lies prevailed. Inconsistent enforcement and if they don’t like, you, or your dogs, you will be harassed out. It’s sad that... Read More

It’s sad that Managment can’t get a better handle but demand is high so they don’t care. Location was good but I wouldn’t plan to stay long if you have dogs or kids. They aren’t really welcome. Their current annual members are selective and seem to be in charge. If you want to be annual, you are given a waitlist excuse that seems to be convenient for selection. Spaces are close so limits on vehicles and visitors. I don’t do reviews in general but when wrongly accused with no recourse, I felt inclined to share. Luckily we found a better place but we will miss some of the friends we made. I won’t miss the worthless internet.

This is a real gem. Feels like you're in the country but gas, groceries and restaurants are two minutes away. Super convenient to pinellas county, TPA, Carrolwood and malls. It's hard getting around Tampa Bay because of traffic but this is a good staging area. Good access from Suncoast Parkway but not so much from 75. Plan your route to take advantage of that. Beautiful park. Landscaped, lots of trees if you want em, the newer waterfront sites don't have trees if that's what you prefer. On the... Read More

Beautiful park. Landscaped, lots of trees if you want em, the newer waterfront sites don't have trees if that's what you prefer. On the bayou. Bring your kayak. I get the feeling the long term residents are mostly snowbirds. There's an occasional park model but mostly it's well maintained class A and 5th wheels. All sites are back-in but there's plenty of room to maneuver. Pool looks really nice. Otherwise not much for kids to do unless they like fishing. Pet friendly. I like big giant pull thru slots as much as anybody but you can't beat the location, the friendly staff and neighbors, and the beautiful setting.

The Park is beautiful, the employees are very friendly and helpful. We are very close to many activities, restaurants and grocery stores. The park have a gorgeous pool, fishing deck and kayak launching areas... We would highly recommend. Our only complaint is about an RV cleaning company that works this park....we thought we did our due diligence, but found the owner of the business implies he will do the work, explaining his experience....then sends someone who doesn't even know what we discussed...nor... Live and Learn, we should have cancelled when the wrong person showed up, but we texted the owner who said he would be joining the other person, NOT.

This is a very nice park located just minutes away from the Tampa urban sprawl. Fairly quiet despite the close proximity to a major highway. We were fortunate not to have a site close to that highway but were approximately 200 yards away. Cannot comment on those sites closest. Most campers were in 5th Wheels, no big deal. The sites are fairly compact but if you neighbors are thoughtful there is no reason why a big rig couldn't fit (our is 36 ft class A). The park was proactive and made the site... Read More

The park was proactive and made the site marker posts removable so that there was extra room to back and get situation. The ladies in the front office were exceptionally nice; ice and other items were very reasonably priced. Free cable and wifi! The pool looked to be clean and inviting. Sadly, no military discount for retirees, just active duty. I guess 28 years of service doesn't count because I am now an old duffer:-) They offer a FL resident discount which is better than the Good Sam Club discount. We will definitely stay again!
