for $55 a night, we found it expensive. - no radio connection - no cell coverage (I have t-mobile) - no TV - no internet connection (literally cut off from the outside world) - train runs trough the RV park constantly - mosquitoes and flies in abundance - no doors in bathrooms - only shower curtains - placement of sewer water and electricity - back-in tight + privacy thanks to trees + facilities are new and clean + people are friendly and helpful

Very nice forest grounds. Some spaces are a little tight, specifically the area for picnic table and fire ring but well maintained and this place looks no more than a few years old. Everything is very new. Overall a nice facility in appearance. Looks are a little deceiving however. Frankly, I am surprise no one has written a review concerning the vehicle traffic and freight train traffic. This facility is situated directly between Montana Highway 2 and two sets of train tracks. The speed limit on Highway 2at that location is 70 mph with lots of heavy truck and diesel vehicle traffic. Very loud! The train tracks are extremely busy. While doing laundry one night I counted seven freight trains pass the park.....from midnight to 2am. 7 trains in two hours!!! After midnight! Very, very loud. Both the road and the train tracks are exceptionally close to the park. If you are camped in the single digit number sites, the tracks are about 75 feet from your trailer. The train lights will shine inside your trailer at night. If your site number is in the teens, Highway 2 is about 125 feet from your trailer. If you are a light sleeper, you will suffer at this park. Pay attention to the cancellation policy also. If you cut your stay short they will make you pay for all of your stay in its entire day, no exceptions. Consequently, the noise did not bother our family as we are all very heavy sleepers, I just think the website for the facility and the hosts on the phone should be a little more forthright on the conditions at the park. Constant noise at that level could really ruin someone's trip if they weren't prepared for it. What did bother us was the fact that my family along two other families were at the park with small children. All the kids had bikes and toys to play with. DURING DAYLIGHT HOURS, someone complained to management about our loud small children running around their OWN campsite, on the ring road through the park and in a common area labeled "playground area". The camp staff actually took this complaint seriously and confronted the families, directing them to keep the noise down DURING THE DAY and have their children stay only in their camp sight. What is time spent camping to a child if not to run around and play and get dirty? What is the "playground" area's intent? What management should have done was told the complainant they were in a family facility and children playing during the day is to be expected. If this is a 55+ facility, label it as such. Our children were no more loud than any other children and overall, well behaved. We should have never have been told of this complaint. A bit ironic considering the amount of noise the trains and cars surrounding the place make. For this reason I will stay elsewhere when I visit Glacier Nat'l Park again.
