Nice rv park, not too far from the freeway but almost no road noise where we were. Well laid out pull in area with room for arriving rv's to stage and they have someone guide you to your spot once you're checked in. Good sized concrete pad for the rv, tow vehicle and the extra small suv we have with us on this trip. Good hookup locations, and everything worked well. Rig was a bit dirty from having just gone over the passes between Oregon & California and they didn't mind my washing the rv. Noise... Read More

Noise levels were up early evening which caused us some concern over whether we'd be able to sleep but by 9:00 PM the park was pretty quiet. We didn't use the bathrooms but based on what we did see and use, have no reason to suspect they'd be less than very good so giving them 5 stars. Would stay here again when we're in the area!

We stayed several nights at Durango. The park is clean, staff is friendly and the fountain sites are incredible. The resort is Pet Friendly and has nice paved spots. We will most certainly stay here again.

Overall, very nice park. Facilties very clean and neat. Friendly, courteous staff. Nice large sites with good access to hookups. Make sure to advise of Goodsam status upon making reservations or you will not be asked or credited with discount.

Every year on my way up to Mt. Shasta, I make a point of staying at Durango. I call it my "Pre-decompression Stopover." I spend a minimum of 2 nights here or more. Great hikes are only 45 minutes away in Lassen. Also, there is a great Restaurant and Grocery Store literally in walking distance. The dog wash is heated and the last time I was there, costs only $5. My dogs love this place. Lastly, the pool is magnificent and refreshing. My favorite sites are the River View, but the Fountain Views... Read More

This is our park of choice when traveling through the area. This was our fourth stay. Only change from our last visit was the price went up a little but still a nice park. The park is a short drive from I-5 (Exit 649: Antelope Rd) along paved roads. The intersection of Antelope & East Ave is pitched making the turn interesting. And East Av is a rather narrow residential road. There was an escort to the site. The sites are a mixture of back-ins along two sides and P/T's in the middle. Extended... Read More

Extended stay sites seemed to be spread out between the back-ins and P/T's. The interior roads are paved. The site parking pads are concrete with a gentle transition from the road to the pad. The interior roads and turns are wide enough to negotiate without much problem. The P/T sites were long enough for coaches & their toads. This park understands the simple concept of the importance of a flat, level site as most of the sites were level and flat. The site orientation allowed RV's to cast shade onto the patio side. Only a handful required blocking to get level. On a previous stay saw one motorhome with its' wheels off the ground. Distance establishes privacy between the sites along with manicured grass lawns. They have full hook ups - water, electricity (50/30/20 AMP), & sewer. The utility connections were easily accessed. The sewer connection was at the ground so it was easy to establish a downhill flow. There was an outside table. No fire pits as wood burning is not permitted since the park is located in the city limits but there were natural gas fire pits at common areas around the park. Curbside garbage pickup. There are a few trees scattered around the park so satellite reception would be dependent upon site assignment and your dish configuration. The park brochure showed about 61 cable channels but made no mention of broadcast channels. Didn't try to get any broadcast channels. The park provided WiFi is through TengoInternet so you have to register an account to use it if you don't have one. Reception was good but occupancy was low. However, service slowed during a strong wind on a previous stay. Our Verizon WiFi hotspot worked well. Didn't try the NET10 phone so don't know about the reception. The designated fenced pet areas were on either side of the park. They had a decomposed granite surface. There was a bag dispenser and waste collection station in the fenced pet area for waste. There was sufficient area to walk dogs along the park roads. There were bag dispensers and waste collection stations around the park for waste. There was a fee for the pet wash. Although the park was right along I-5, there was limited traffic noise. However, there were some train noises nearby. The walking trail along the river went under I-5 and there were some transient camps in the area. Didn't feel very comfortable walking in this area. The clubhouse, pool & hot tub amenities and park's appearance made this a pleasant stop over. We would stay here again if the need arose while traveling through the area. Didn't like the $10 fee to make reservations whether online or by phone but the $10 was applied to your stay. TIP: Domino's delivered. Really no bad sites. We prefer the P/T's for short stays but would consider a back-in (#2-13 along the southern edge but there might be some satellite obstruction, 76-96 along the 3 fountain ponds or 70-75 & 97-101 along the river) for an extended stay. There was a mobile detailing service available to wash your RV on a previous stay.

This place is outstanding. After 13 days on the road with shady WiFi, cable, phone service, & some bad showers this place hit the spot. The hot tub was fantastic for my back. Everything about this place was top notch. Even if you are not good at backing this place is set up very well for your big rigs. Showers were to die for even at guy standards??. Our Great Dane wasn't used to the thick plush grass (we live in NM). Walking distance to local grocery store. Only 47 miles to Lassen Volcanic National... Read More

Our Great Dane wasn't used to the thick plush grass (we live in NM). Walking distance to local grocery store. Only 47 miles to Lassen Volcanic National Park. Make sure you plan a day to visit Lassen, you will not be disappointed. Staff made the reservation, sign in, and set up perfect. Only negative was the interstate 5 being right next to park. Wife still slept like a baby, but I used ear plugs. Easiest spot to back in was #76. It puts you near the laundry, showers, dog walking area, riverside, ponds with fountains, but you still get as much privacy as any other. Even if you are just traveling through, this is the Oasis in the desert.

Nice RV Park right off I-5 as we were heading up to Oregon. They take you directly to your site for easy location. the sites were nice and large and had full hook-ups. The park it's self sits right next to the Sacramento River and has a nice river walk. It's was 104 the day we were there so we stayed in the water at the pool most of the afternoon. Great staff, very helpful. Very clean facilities and pool area. 3 nice foundations in the middle of the park are really nice at night with the lights.... Read More

Immaculate! Now this is what an RV "resort" looks like! Gorgeous, peaceful grounds on the banks of the Sacramento River. Fountain spaces are beautiful! Pool area is stunning! Level sites, with utilities neatly cared for in small pagoda like structures. Plenty of space between sites. Great laundry room, and immaculate up to date bathrooms. Staff is engaged and each of them honestly cares about creating a great experience. Super impressed! Yes, I-5 is right there, small fan droned out the sound, not... Read More

Beautiful first class facility. The only complaint is that you are right next to I-5 so it can be a bit noisy.

I only wish that we lived closer so we could frequent this resort more often. Typically an overnight stop for us, it could easily be a destination resort for us. Impeccable in every way and paved throughout, we love Durango!

The clubhouse, pool & hot tub amenities and park's appearance made this a pleasant stop over. However, the landscape needed some attention as there were weeds growing everywhere. We would stay here again if the need arose while traveling through the area or to visit a nearby National Park Service site. We would probably consider it for an extended stay site.

A wonderful, full service RV resort just off of the I 5 hwy. There is a bit of hwy traffic noise, but this is a wonderful clean RV resort to stay at for the night. We found the facilities top notch, and second to none!

Trash pick up is a good touch - keeps the park clean and adds value. Though we had confirmations for two separate reservations on two separate dates, somehow only one was in the system. No problem; the courteous folks at the front desk were quick to resolve that and get us in a space. Off-sight retail services were easily accessible. Off hours park security is an excellent consideration. Though the park is adjacent to I-5, the noise was minimal - hardly noticed any. And, the convenient access to the Sacramento River is nice diversion.
