The New Frontier RV Park and Campground is our 126th stop and we stayed for 1 week. If we were in a hurry, we probably would have not stayed here or enjoyed central South Dakota. Check in was excellent as the host was very pleasant and provided me a lot of information on the campground and surrounding area. We opted for the deluxe sunrise site – the only one of its kind – with a great view to the east with great sunrises as well as a raised wooden patio, a swing and a grill. Family owned for more... Family owned for more than 30 years, the owner has done an amazing job with his tree planting over the years as there are mature shade trees at most sites – a luxury in this part of the country. Speaking of the owner, he is personable and proud of his project. Was easy to level out, utilities all worked well and was generally quiet – a little highway noise but quieted down quickly after dark. Have a nice separation for the long term campers. If in the area, would encourage you to stop over and enjoy this park. Would rate it a 4.3. Connectivity (4 pm): T-Mobile 28.4 down/6.67 up Verizon 251.0 down/11.3 up Park WiFi 1.04 down/0.0 up

We stayed here overnight on site #4 - there was new dirt put in site and not leveled. It took 2 bags of Lynx Leveler to get our Motorhome level. With no cable TV or pool, this is definitely not worth the price we paid. The good - check-in was acceptable, all hookup worked properly and grounds were well kept. Probably would not stay here again because of the price.

This place seems to be right in the middle of a farm field in the middle of nowhere. It was very clean, quiet and peaceful. There is a little country market/gas station (diesel, too) walking distance from the property. The laundry room was spotless. I did not use the bathroom or shower. The spots are gravel and somewhat level. The only reason I gave a four star facility rating is because the hookups alternate. You will be entry to entry. Not a big deal, but the people who were beside us were... Read More

Not a big deal, but the people who were beside us were afraid of the boogeyman because they left their white LED porch and awning lights on all night. The front office and maintenance person are awesome. I was there for two days, but I would have stayed longer if my schedule permitted. I was towing a 34' travel trailer.

If you are looking for a nice peaceful place to stay, this is a great location. Hot showers, wifi, pets friendly, and a great little kids playground too! There is space for RV's, a couple of cabins and nice smooth grass for tents!

Being tired travelers on the road for over a month it was a welcomed relief to find this spot to spend a few days out in the middle of farm land. The family running the park has done a lovely job of adding more sites, improving the existing sites and adding landscaping with an abundance of trees. flowers and sitting areas, The view is forever with green grass fields. Close to HWY 90 makes for easy access, I called ahead to get driving instructions and was treated by staff as if we were old friends. I've watched children have a good time at the playground and our dog has really enjoyed the beautiful grassy fields available to him There is a nice casual restaurant within walking distance where we had their fried chicken which was some of the best we've ever had. Not much else to do in town but we did drive to the state capital in Piierre about an hour away and that was worthwhile to see. We travel in a 41 foot RV and a tow car and had a spacious pull thru site including trash receptacle at each site, The wifi is excellent. The bathroom is one of the best for cleanliness and for a great shower. This is a good stop over on the way to/from the Black Hills of Dakota/Mt Rushmore, We would stay here longer the next time, a wonderful spot to recharge. The owners show a commitment to having happy campers.

Small, older campground under new ownership. New owner working very hard to bring campground up to what he wants it to be. Office entrance surrounded by gardens and very welcoming. Sites need some work but are acceptable. Pull-through, side-by-side hookups. Roads dirt and fine gravel. Restrooms very clean and well-stocked. "C-Store" just up the hill for necessities. Would return.

After outrunning a storm, in a part of the country we'd never been before, it was great to have the owner/manager tell us she had a spot for us for the night...on a weekend even! Our early evening arrival let us see the golden light fill this well-kept park after a "deluge" had occurred a couple hours earlier. There were small puddles here and there, but the drainage was good and our pull through site was level and had good access to office building,...no mud or issues. We also had easy access... Our early evening arrival let us see the golden light fill this well-kept park after a "deluge" had occurred a couple hours earlier. There were small puddles here and there, but the drainage was good and our pull through site was level and had good access to office building,...no mud or issues. We also had easy access to the immaculate bathrooms/showers, and playground. The signage is thoughtful and appropriate. The various planters of blooming plants were also welcoming and added a nice touch of home! The military discount was appreciated! Owner/manager has created a bit of a western museum in the office and I was distracted (in a good way) by the interesting artifacts when checking in. It was fun to watch our neighbors and their kids out walking the perimeter of the park and getting maximal benefit from the playground as the sun was setting. Additionally, the wifi worked great and allowed us to catch up a bit on correspondence. Although we did not use the laundry facilities, that is also a bonus for anyone who has been on the road a spell. We will go out of our way in the future to stay at New Frontier Campground and RV Park again! Nice find!

It was fine for a nights stay. We found it on our GPS.

This is no place for a Class A Motorhome. Gravel washed out roads that have big ravines, hard to find at night, light on sign was so small that you couldn't see it. DEFINITELY NOT GPS FRIENDLY. NO SIGN OF HOSTS AFTER PULLING IN. SHOULD BE SOMEONE THERE TO HELP YOU OUT IN THE EVENING. NO SIGNAGE AS TO WHERE TO EXIT.
