We have stayed at this campground before, but never again. Extremely narrow sites, where your slides infringe on your neighbors space. The pictures on the website show well maintained green lawn, absolutely false, there is nothing but weeds, and make sure you dont drive on those weeds, they will fine you. You are required to sign a list of rules, which we did, sadly. We were getting ready to leave for the day and moved the car in the space next to us so our 80 yr old handicap mother could park in... You are required to sign a list of rules, which we did, sadly. We were getting ready to leave for the day and moved the car in the space next to us so our 80 yr old handicap mother could park in front of us. Less than 3 minutes, they came trotting up with their dogs and said that will cost us $50 and to further add insult they charged us tax on our fine. We have been traveling for over 2 months and the only bad experience we have had. We should have known when they had numerous spaces available that something was wrong and they are removing all negative comments from reviews. Only campground within 100 miles that has vacancies, that says it all. Also need to mention the late arrival at midnight, who had no clue how to back up and I have no doubt everyone was awake when he was done. Also twice we went to the office and it was locked, but they claim it is manned from 11-6. I guess the multiple cameras all over the park is how they play their game. Be prepared to move a picnic table when you arrive, they block the sites with the picnic table and you are on your own to move it. Not handicap friendly.

The park states they are big rig friendly but this was not the case when we stayed. The site was extremely un-level and took extra care to exit. Staff was very pleasant but should have told us that the Naval Air Station was conducting sorties until around 22:00. The noise of F-18 aircraft flying overhead for 5 to 6 hours had our pets very nervous. Be sure to ask if the Navy is flying when you check in because the staff will not divulge the information during checkin.

What a nice park! We enjoyed staying here. To get to the park you pass over the beautiful Cape Disappointment bridges - wow what views! The park is the only Good Sam Park on the island so we always stay there. The staff is nice and they keep the park up. There aren't a lot of extra amenities but what they have is very well done - professional looking office, friendly and helpful staff, the bathrooms are super clean and cute. They invite people - especially kids - to pain a rock in the area... Read More

You can visit the lovely recreation areas, see the water, the military post is nearby and the town of Oak Harbor has nice stores and restaurants. We would definitely like to stay here again.
