Typical RV park that caters to the oil industry workers in the area. The sites are dirt and gravel, small and tight. The park has a small dog area and a building with bathrooms and laundry services that are heavily used by the long term residents. The price is reasonable and the staff was helpful. We will stay here again for an overnight rest when traveling through the area. See our updates and pictures at our blog at thegilliamsisland.
We are a full-time RVing family with 2 children, who have to be in the Permian Basin regularly for our business. We have stayed at Midland RV now about 5 or 6 times for about 3-4 days at a time. We have always been greeted with a friendly smile and a warm welcome. The park is super clean. There are two well-kept dog runs, which our puppy really appreciates. They have made a point to make us feel at home and always ask how our children are doing when we return. As a mom, that means a lot to me, and it makes me feel like we have friends here. The park is easily accessible, as it is right off of I-20, but it's tucked in enough you don't feel like you're right on the highway. The pull through spaces are wide with plenty of room for our 42 ft. Sandpiper with 4 slides and our truck. The last time we arrived, our electrical was not working properly. The maintenance guy was very helpful. He came over, replaced the outlet in about 10 minutes, and we were up and running. We really enjoy staying at Midland RV and look forward to the next time we are in town.
