We first stayed at Game Lodge in Custer State Park last year with our 5th Wheel. Custer State Park itself is gorgeous. A gem in the state and lovingly cared for by its dedicated park rangers. All of the campgrounds within the park are beautiful but our favorite is the Game Lodge, located on the Game Loop where wildlife can be viewed at all times of the day or evening. Each site features a picnic table, fire pit and many mature trees. The bathrooms/showers are spotlessly clean. The campground hosts stop by to visit and there is a small pond that is used for fishing and swimming. A stream runs on one border of the park and is also used for fishing. We like this campground so much we have already made our camping reservation for next year.
