I found this park to be not a place I would go back to. Its a shame because it has so much potential. Almost half of the sites were in very bad shape. They were over grown and in disarray. They have put a new highway in right next to the park so we heard traffic all night long. The site we have had full hookups but the sewer connection port was about "18 off the ground. Our second day there they were flushing the water lines. All of them. We had no water for about 3 hours starting at 07:00 on. I... Read More

There were of course the ants. We knew about them and were prepared. The other half of the sites that were not closed and useless split between about half of them were ok. The other half were not very nice. So in short only %25 of the sites were even nice enough to use. I would even use the bathrooms near our site as they were nasty. Now if you are planning a day trip to fish, boat, or go to the very nice beach. It is very nice. Also there is a very cool self guided tour of a farm that was originally there. I would go there for a day trip, but I will never camp there again. It was odd that they had a huge staff but no one was trying clean up the mess.

Stayed there for 5 nights with 37 ft 5th wheel. This at one time was a premier park with many nice facilities. It has been let run down badly probably due to lack of funding from the State. They have though come back in recently with new bathhouses that are nice. They are in the process of rebuilding a few sections of the park and boat ramp. The roads have rolly polly sections that require slower speeds. The area, overlooking a large reservoir, which is nice but apparently a drought has killed... Read More

We had security through the camping area several times a day. I would stay here again.
