A beautiful setting. Very low voltage at the pedestal. Wonderful hostess. Crankypants host barked at us when asked about low voltage. And it’s only 15 Amps, NO garbage cans, take it with you when you leave.
The low voltage damaged one of our systems.
Site not level
No garbage service
15 Amp service
2nd world restrooms
1st class view
The host, not so much.
All that for 45 $ US!
We won’t be back.
Absolutely superior RV park. Beats the gravel pit "drive-in theater" style RV park in Destruction Bay proper hands down. Detractors - 15 amp service max (you can survive, really), no trash receptacles, cash only, dump station additional cost, exceptionally slow wifi, and no cell service. Positives - we had a lakeside back-in with an awesome view. Restrooms and showers were very clean. They have many types of sites from pull throughs with hook-ups, back-ins with lake view, or lake side boondocking with your own means of water and electrics.
Very nice well maintained park on Kluane Lake, a very pretty setting. Owners were very attentive and helpful and had suggestions on what to do in the area. The park operates on a generator and only provides 15 amp power so we were instructed to be careful and not use certain things together and to use propane for heat and not electric heaters. Wifi only worked in their building or on their deck. Very nice stay.
Lakefront sites mostly back-in. Pull-thrus next row over but have view of lake. Lake completely accessible. Trout fishing allowed. 15amp only. Must use internal fans or open windows. For night temps, use extra blankets. No sewer, no trash allowed, no dump. Hot water w/propane. Shower facility immaculate. Internet only accessible at registration bldg. Absolute pristine lake - worth roughing it.
This is a really good park! The owners are most welcoming and escort everyone to their sites. Only 15 amp, but it is cool enough in these northern parts and AC not required. Exceptional washrooms! The wifi is very slow, as all over the Yukon and the owners do the best they can. You have to take your rubbish with you when you leave.
This is really a very remote spot and has amazing views of Kluane Lake, the park being on the shore, and the mountains provide a backdrop to the east and west.
Staying at the site all summer, were a folk music couple who perform on most nights, unless it is raining, and they are excellent. Here we were in the middle of nowhere and this great show was put on for free to all visitors!
We stayed 2 nights on our way to Alaska and again on our return and we will be back! Next time, we will plan a longer stay.
We felt like family! Our hosts were so sweet and helpful. Flat tire on the trailer, no problem, they recommended a repair shop, allowed us to stay until repair was done. Site was beautiful and if not for the rain, the lake would have been such a treat for a swim. Cash only, but we were not charged "Canadian" with our US dollars.
We arrived here with no reservations in the evening after the office was closed and it was raining. One of the hosts saw me come in and rode his ATV over. He opened the office and called the other host to see if they had anything available. At first they did not think they did but found one site for us, we were very grateful. They were very nice and helpful. The sites are gravel and my pull-thru was not level. Only 15 amp is available but it was cold anyway so no need for AC. There is water hookup. There is a sani-dump. Restrooms/showers are clean. This is beautiful area, wish we had had more time than just an overnight.
