The six+ of us (two couples, 2 college aged boys,1 dog) chose the Canyon Hot Springs park on our trip from Seattle to Banff because it advertised a pool, was dog friendly, and it was in a good location for us. The park is beautiful and well maintained, our site was level, the rest rooms clean and the scenery unbeatable. So why the 2 star rating? We paid $64 for our RV site (30A and water) - $49 basic fee + $12 for extra 4 persons. The showers were $3 for a 6 min shower. The pool (mineral... Read More

The pool (mineral pool and hot tub) was $12.50 per person or $18.50 per person for a day pass - it was the size of a standard RV park pool - nothing special . There was no wifi. We felt that for what we paid for the site that some of these amenities should be included. There was a train track that ran along the edge of the campsite that had frequent travel. The train did not bother us, but this may not be the case for everyone. The campsite has 21 published rules, some which also seemed excessive - for example no tents on serviced sites - campfires must be out by 11PM. For us, it wouldn't be worth the hassle of coming here again.
