A return stay for 1 night twice within 3 months while traveling through the area. Last stay was in 2020. The park was accommodating in changing our reservations when we ran into a weather delay. The park is a short drive from I-40 so there is some road noise as well as distant train noise. The road between the Broadway St exit is in poor condition. Part of the road is the historic Route 66. The road between the W Park Rd interchange is in better shape but seems to only have access when traveling... Read More

The road between the W Park Rd interchange is in better shape but seems to only have access when traveling East bound. The interior roads & parking pads are gravel. The interior roads and turns could be restricted due to vehicles parked beyond the site boundaries (which are not clearly defined) or landscaping so maneuvering larger RV’s requires attention & skill. The sites seem to be mostly pull throughs. Only 10 of 98 sites have 50 AMP service. Sites are narrow due to the vegetation lining them but there was room to open slides with limited danger of hitting vegetation. Some of the vegetation includes Oleander which is toxic if consumed. The park was built on a slight slope. But surprisingly there didn’t seem much of a slope on the parking pad. They have full hook ups – water, electricity (50/30 AMP), & sewer. The connections were spread out along the site. The electrical pedestal was on a concrete island but was loose on site 49. The sewer connection located towards the rear of the site was centered on a concrete island slightly above the ground & uphill so establishing a downhill flow would be dependent upon discharge location. Some of the sites appear to be extended stay sites. There were a few trees scattered throughout the park so satellite reception would be dependent upon your site, dish configuration and time of year. Was able to get DISH programing with a portable dish sitting on the ground. The park brochure described “Television is antenna only and channel searching is necessary.” The brochure showed the dish pointing information for DISH & DIRECTV as well as listing what looked like the 24 OTA local channels (out of Phoenix & Las Vegas). Scan revealed 62 OTA channels including 4 major networks either out of Phoenix or Las Vegas. The park provided password protected WiFi was acceptable for checking email, the weather, ordering pizza (Domino’s delivered) and checking on travel route. Didn’t try our NET10 phone so don’t know about reception. There is one designated fenced pet area with a gravel surface in a corner of the park. There was a bag dispenser and collection stations for waste in the fenced pet area. There was sufficient area to walk dogs along the park’s roads. TIP: Make reservations between October and May due to the popularity of the area for Snowbirds.

$70 for two nights. Okay RV park. Sites have some space between with picnic table. Most of park has 30 amp with only a couple 50 amp. There are some electric and water only sites. The park isn't level. Lots of sand and gravel, which was fine for us. Office staff friendly and helpful. Okay for a stop along I-40. Wi-fi signal moderate strength. A number of TV stations available over the air. Cell signal strong.

Disappointing for a KOA. Staff very friendly and helpful. Site was not level and uneven - pot holes and ruts in the dirt and rock surface. Very tough to level the coach. Windy day made for lots of dust.
