I gave this one star rating only because of the owner. Arrived at this small campsite @1:00pm (not knowing check in was 2:00pm) no one in office, but note on window that restrooms are being cleaned. Okay we wait, during our wait, left a couple of unanswered messages. I walked around campsite and headed towards the bathrooms when I came across another guest of the campground and asked if she knew where the owner was. She went into one of the bathrooms and came back with a message from the owner that... Read More

I walked around campsite and headed towards the bathrooms when I came across another guest of the campground and asked if she knew where the owner was. She went into one of the bathrooms and came back with a message from the owner that check-in was not until 2:00pm. Okay, owner would not come out to tell me, the guest, about her rules. Remember this is a very small campground. So we wait. She came back to the office about 1:40pm and went inside. Still did not check us in! Another guest arrives in the meantime. Which they waited. I stood outside the little office until my iPhone read 2:pm walked in office, she did not even great me and was a very cold woman. Finally checked in! Stay away from this campground. Once they loose enough money from being rude, maybe the attitude would change, but not sure for this owner.

The female owner was unfriendly during check-in. There was no hello, no welcome to our park, just an indifferent scowl. A few days later I saw her outside and said hello. She replied with a pained "hi..." while displaying the same scowl. This individual is definitely not a people person! Anyway we enjoyed this fantastic RV park with incredible private bathrooms. The showers are huge! We stayed in site #13 for ten days and it had excellent tree shade. I also appreciated being placed far away... Read More

The park wifi is blazing fast and we also enjoyed the 50+ cable channels. Decent laundry facilities. Great location near Arches, Canyonlands and Mesa Verde National Parks as well as several National Monuments. Monument Valley and Four Corners are also within reach. And don't miss Goosenecks state park. Wow!!!

Nice, shady spots with country feel. Very laid back. Exceptionally quiet considering it was on a main road. Bordered a horse field so expect them to stop by to say hello and look for carrots and apples. Located only 50 miles south of Moab, an excellent place to stay and be away from the hustle and bustle.

Super nice people, quiet well kept small park. Away from the crowds, and just a great place to explore the canyon country and arches before moving on. Easy in, easy out gas and groceries.

Overall rating of 4 because site was gravel and not completely level. Smallish park. Well maintained. Check in staff was professional. Excellent wifi. Clean restrooms. We stayed here for the southern entrance to Canyonlands but still pretty far away. Not much else to do. You could drive to the mountains close by and go hiking I suppose. Town is small but you could find what you need here. Because we had extra time, we drove to Natural Bridges National Monument about an hour and a quarter away. We... Read More

The recently-built, beautiful restroom/shower facility is enough alone to warrant 5 stars ... very nice & very clean, best I've ever seen in any RV park, and most Marriott hotels. We stayed only one night as a launch-spot for Needles first-come/first-serve in the early AM--worked out great.

Made a reservation online and recieved a confirmation email fairly promptly. I was told they had reserved a spot for me and my extra vehicle. We arrived around midnight to check in and although I had made reservations weeks in advance, there was no information for us at the office. I didnt know which spot was reserved for us nor the bathroom or wifi codes. All the RV spots were covered in snow. We took a random spot and called the office hoping to get the bathroom codes at the very least, but had... Read More

I didnt know which spot was reserved for us nor the bathroom or wifi codes. All the RV spots were covered in snow. We took a random spot and called the office hoping to get the bathroom codes at the very least, but had to leave a message. We didnt receive a call back until 6AM the next morning. When we were leaving the next day, i went to the office to pay for our stay (office was locked even though it was within office hours) the woman asked if i needed bathroom or wifi codes! She almost seemed like i was putting her out to have to come to the office to settle up. Such a frustrating stay because of the lack of concern or communication on the RV parks side. I thought it was common practice to leave info for reservations arriving after hours. We were 1 of 2 sites occupied that night so they absolutely knew we were coming and didnt care to do ANYTHING about it! Also, they charge $2 for any additional guests which seems like a rip off since i doubt they get many single travelers. The bathrooms (once we finally got in) were very nice and their cat was the friendliest employee we met, but thats about all i can say about this RV park.

Mountainview RV Park, Monticello, Utah November 14, 2017 Newly renovated. The restroom/shower rooms are the nicest we have ever come across. Instead of a group of toilet stalls and a group of shower stalls all in one room, there were four private bathrooms, each one with a toilet, a sink with mirror and electric outlet, a shower, an area for hanging clothes, a shelf for personal items, and a bench. They were immaculately clean. In addition, there was a new laundry area with several washers and several... Read More

They were immaculately clean. In addition, there was a new laundry area with several washers and several dryers. Most of the campsites were pull-through sites with 30 amp and 50 amp service, along with a picnic table, water, sewer, cable TV, and WiFi. There was also a new dump station. Very nice park, good for either an overnight or to stage out of for local attractions. The owners were very friendly and rightfully proud of all the improvements they had just completed in their RV park.

Small park convenient to highway. It has high quality wi-fi access. Really good. Owners are friendly and accommodating. Nice access to Needles section of Canyonlands NP and Natural Bridges National Monument.

Great Park. Not large or fancy but beautiful surroundings, friendly owners and fantastic wifi. We had the site closest to the highway but we really never heard anything. Bathrooms were well kept and clean, inexpensive laundry facilities and did I mention fantastic wifi. Would stay here again anytime I am close to Monticello.
