We went down to make arrangements for our son's rehearsal dinner and decided to stay at the lake despite a couple of negative reviews on the website such as "the owners/managers were rude" and "couldn't get assistance with anything." I went into this thinking we'd be at the lake in a camper - just how bad can it be? The owners/manager met us at the office when we arrived to escort us to our site. I went into this thinking we'd be at the lake in a camper - just how bad can it be? The owners/manager met us at the office when we arrived to escort us to our site. They were very helpful and asked if there was anything they could do to help set up. We kind of have our own routine so we politely declined. We saw the owners/managers a couple other times and every time they were very talkative and cordial. Couldn't have asked for nicer people. We had a very nice pull through space right beside the pool. It was a little noisy during the day but nothing we couldn't handle. At night it was very peaceful. It was cool enough that several had fires in the fire pit placed on each lot. I didn't go to the bathhouse but my husband said it could've been a little cleaner. There is no swimming access from the campground but there are plenty of boat docks and you can even rent a pontoon boat. You can also fish off the docks. There are rental cabins throughout the campground and on the lake as well. We had a very enjoyable stay and ended up staying until Monday. I am sure we will visit High Rock Lake Camping and Marina again in the very near future. I would highly recommend.

Our first trip to High Rock Lake Campground and Marina was beautiful! We were lucky to be assigned a lake-front camping site, but every site in the park was beautifully shaded and surrounded with lots of trees and forest area. We did not visit the bathhouses. This campground and marina had a boat ramp and supplied all your fishing needs, even bait. We were pleasantly surprised to find they rented pontoon boats. Wi-fi didn't work during peak evening hours, but this is common at any campground we've stayed in.
