Corps of Engr. facility, so Golden Age/Sr. Pass gets discount. Pleasant level sites right on bank of John Day arm of Columbia River. I-84 and a rail track are nearby, and you get some noise, but not too bad. Something about the road bridge makes a sound like distant thunder for every truck going over. Electric hookups. Did not use or look for water fill and don't believe they have dump facility. Toilets were pit/vault type but not gross. Back-in sites are further from water, and view will be partially blocked by rigs occupying pull-through sites along bank. Check-in was slow ("computer problems" naturally), and would have liked one of water-side sites which were said to be unavailable, but two remained unoccupied during our stay. Seems to be good place for boaters and fishing. Note: I consider 3 stars as average/acceptable. Recommend? Yes.
