Just to start things off, we were supposed to go to Knoebel's, but made a last minute change due to COVID. And, this was where we wound up. Moyer's Grove Campground is a quaint little campground in the mid to upper portion of PA, it is dated, but they certainly have a good time here. Reading the reviews I expected far less, but was pleasantly surprised by it. Where as it does not sport great views of the mountains or rivers, you are surrounded by forest and nature. Reading the reviews I expected far less, but was pleasantly surprised by it. Where as it does not sport great views of the mountains or rivers, you are surrounded by forest and nature. The campground does have a creek running through the campground that I often saw kids playing in, there was a pond directly in the front by the playground supposedly for kayaks and paddle boats (but they were not allowing those), and a fishing pond behind there. In the center of the campground was the swimming pool, it was not supersized or fancy, but was clean and adequate. The bathrooms were exceptionally clean, and seemed somewhat recently remodeled. We did have an issue with a broken water pipe in the evening hours, but maintenance did manage it in a timely manner. There did seem to be a lot of seasonal/permanent campers already there, however we didn't really see many people in general. The staff checking us in were both gems, and I wish I had caught their names. Other staff seemed less than thrilled of our stay. The camp store seemed well stocked, and rivaled most chain owned campgrounds. We were originally supposed to stay in campsites 14 & 13, but were moved painlessly to sites 33, 34, & 35 due to a recent storm. Sites were a decent size, did range a bit, but not by much. Sites were very close to level, easy to back in, and well covered with trees. If we did get a chance to go back, I would.

This campground has a lot of seasonal campers and a very large weekender turn out. It's like the weekend resort. Beautiful grounds which are well maintained. I spent two weeks there. They put me up on the hill where I think they stored RVs. Which for me was great. no one up there but me. The only draw back is the that there is no internet or AT&T service. I had to drive to the near by truck stop for service. I would recommend this for families and I would stay again.
