First, we have travelled 18,000 KM or 11,000 miles and have stayed in many parks from Alberta Canada to South Texas and this the first park I felt the need to criticise . The park is in a wonderful location on a beautiful lake, but it is probably a park that would be best for a one or two week stay in July or Aug, when it is hot and very large trees would provide the appreciated shade. Our concerns are with the management and strict un-flexible rules and rates for visitors in the off season.... Read More

Our concerns are with the management and strict un-flexible rules and rates for visitors in the off season. We stayed for a month, (April), and I doubt that the park ever reached 25% capacity and yet they still expected our family to $10 per visit per day per vehicle and a maximum of 2 people per vehicle, we feel that this was outrageous; they were even going to charge my wife's sister $10 just to drop my wife off at our trailer and leave again; so she just walked in carrying her bags from shopping. The maintenance staff were very polite and the washrooms were always clean. They say they are an eco friendly park but not in my experience; I reported the water faucet was leaking at our site and several other next to us, ours leaked 3 gallons an hours,(not so eco friendly). The Wi-Fi was for a fee and was worse than any Wi-Fi we ever used in our travels and most were free. There is security patrols but I forgot to lock my truck one night and we were robbed of our gps, walky talky, prescription sunglasses and camera.
