In my opinion this is disappointing example of a KOA Park. This rv park in no way is up to the high standards of KOA. The other 6 KOA parks I stayed at this trip were well worth the premium KOA charges. Not this one. Seems to me tired, rough and old relative to other rv parks I stayed at. The roads were bumpy and pitted. My 35 foot Class A would not self level using its automated system due to an overly sloped site (both fore and aft, left and right) requiring a half hour with supplemental leveling... Read More

My 35 foot Class A would not self level using its automated system due to an overly sloped site (both fore and aft, left and right) requiring a half hour with supplemental leveling blocks. Turns were tight. Paid almost $70 per night. Truth be told I had far nicer places at $30 per night this trip.

Been RVing for 20 years. This is absolutely the worst private campground we've ever stayed in. We regretted booking here in advance and will never return. Pass on this one if you plan on visiting Maine. Oh, and the campground is located in Richmond not Gardiner/Augusta. It's a good 30 minute drive to Augusta and there is nothing around this campground. We enjoyed other campgrounds in the area, but not this one.
