Absolutely beautiful area! There are a few campgrounds to choose from. Some are paved and have full hookups and laundry. We stayed in Arch Campground. The road is dirt but not too rough, the sites are gravel and pretty level. We had partial hookups with 30/50amp electric and water. The site was quite roomy with plenty of space between neighbors and Juniper trees blocking them from sight. Our site had plenty of shade, a nice picnic table and fire pit as well (firewood is for sale within the park).... Read More

We camped over over Easter Weekend. The weather was just right, low 60s during the day and low 40s at night. There is plenty of hiking available for all skill levels. We were able to find a few trails that my aging parents (using canes) could join us on. There is no cell phone or internet service within the park.

It would be impossible to overstate the beauty and cleanliness of this park. Paved roads and RV parking. Hiking and horseback riding with trail heads in the park. Firewood available on the honor system and ice at the park office. This is luxury wilderness camping. All the conveniences of 50 amp electric, water and sewer and no distractions from internet or phone. We stayed the first week of April. Temps in the low 60s perfect for hiking. We travel with a 42' 5th wheel and there was plenty of room at our site to spread out ground mats to cover the sand and have our Golden Doodle run around. We stayed at a pull-through/back in combined meaning you pulled through a loop and then backed into the site. Made it very easy. The pine and pinon trees provide seclusion between sites. One of the best parks we have ever stayed at. Would highly recommend. The staff was polite and obviously proud of their park.

The best state park my wife and I have ever stayed. This is a gem in the wilderness...l do mean wilderness. No phone or internet. Just beautiful scenery and horseback rides. Great hikes with panoramic views. You can tell that management takes great pride in their park. The rest rooms and showers are impeccablely clean. Not a cobweb anywhere including the lamp fixtures. This is a mini Arches NP.
